This was obviously because Gulool Ja Ja was having a duel. Which means one-on-one. Nobody is to interfere. It would be an insult to Gulool Ja Ja's pride to do so after all the battles he'd won. This was obvious to me but it was clarified by Wuk Lamat too. Sure he was at risk, but how can you insult the famous Gulool Ja Ja by saying he's not good enough? He did even win, initially.

After he killed him, well, medically assisting was more important... last words etc.

Krile and Alphinaud had the medical assistance covered.

Wuk Lamat and Koana were there for the last words as his family along with Erenville.

Why wouldn't Alisaie and the WoL act to stop an assassin? The importance of the resonator was obvious and would have been a prime point to strike at to disable Zoraal Ja. The Alisaie of Endwalker wouldn't have even thought twice. She would have gone after him alone.

If Zoraal Ja had some of his robot minions with him and left them behind, then it would have made sense to remain to protect the others as they attended to Gulool Ja Ja. With no one else in the citadel, it made no sense not to pursue him.

There was a good underlying story to the first half of the MSQ but it had some glaring flaws at times. The same for the second half of the MSQ. And the biggest flaw of all was that the two stories didn't belong in the same expansion. They ended up competing against each other for attention and I think that's what has led to the love it/hate it reactions of so many players.

A positive opinion would be a lot more effective if it weren't prefaced basically by saying, "I'm only here giving my positive opinion because I've seen so many negative opinions and I feel defensive about it."

Yeah, this is how this came across to me as well. Sorry (not sorry) but I can't take it seriously after that. Just another instance of someone trying to stifle any negative feedback because they can't handle it.

We're talking this forum...if we were talking someplace where negative opinions were rare, I'd give this idea some credence, but claiming someone is "trying to stifle any negative feedback" by creating one positive thread among a veritable sea of negativity just makes it sound laughable. If anything, comments like this and the person you quoted would better serve as potentially trying to stifle any positive feedback because the negative echo chamber can't handle it...

Such possitive I'm so glad you had a good time even though the villain make no sense like he got rewritten 3 times in development by a drunk novice writer and speak to Wuk Lamat is 80% of your tasks mixed with a bit of follow someone, talk to 3 people and the story is bland as sandpaper until you get the train going but I'm glad you had fun with the anime trope tournament arc half the story.

Also 78 MC so I think critics at least would rather do THE walk than play DT

I disagree here.
The first duel maybe but not the second.
As soon as he stood up again doing a Char Aznable we should have been involved.
Make it so we fight him are interrupted by his gooneys and then he kills GJJ.

The honor stuff was only a good explanation for first fight.

I'm not ashamed to admit that I enjoyed it too. I don't want to compare it to any of the previous expansions as I don't feel it set out to tell the same sort of story as they did.

All I know is that I lost myself in the story that was being told in my downtime from work, and whilst said story was definitely not perfect -and I will concede that there were times I wished Wuk Lamat would step out of the limelight - it was, for me, an enjoyable experience that I didn't/don't regret investing my time into.
