i cant help but seeing this expansion is another SE experiment for the current western being "woman is strong" archetype that currently riddled their games now

do you know what wuk lamat remind me of? she remind me of rey skywalker from that new star wars, she literally cant do no wrong and she can do anything only by "i can do it if i try really hard" attitude, she annoyed me so much. she talk a bit and everyone be like "holy shit she is right" an we be like "good good let the force be with you" expression nonstop.

we have come from long way, we save a nation, we save the world, heck we literally save multiverse, i get that this is suppose to be "holiday" expansion for us but wuk lamat existence kinda ruin it. imagine you went to somewhere exciting, ready to explore, but your most annoying friend come with you, he talk a lot and forced you to go where he want to and you have to follow him... dude let me explore on my own, let me learn on my own, this is suppose to be MY holiday, why it become HIS?

I still can't get over Wuk Lamat having everyone call her Llama Tea. I REALLY REALLY hate that. I don't know, it's just having a person you barely know telling you to call them something that has no meaning to you. It feels so forced, like she forced us to call her by that and it's just so aggravating.

She just goes "call me this" and it's like I've only known her for like a few days or week and now I have to do something that I don't want to. It's so weird in the context of FFXIV, because we don't really do that. Then having everyone change and call her that, even though we barely care about her because we barely know her.

Wuk Lamat making people change in weird ways to adore her and whatever, just feels terrible and makes a lot of everyone else's characterization feel weird and awkward. Makes me worried that more characterization is going to get screwed up because it has to adhere to Wuk. Hopefully with the poll that push more for those 10 characters and ditch Wuk.

You think they got like a tracker in game that knows what options the players picked? cause I know every opportunity that I was given to call her by her family nickname I would never pick it.

I really don't understand all the hate honestly, I like the trope of her character and I liked her earnest take on the world, I liked that she didn't give that up even with all the despair and the twistedness of the second arc of the game.

Because we already had a similar scenario with Alphinaud and the Crystal Braves. He also had a certain way of thinking about Eorzea. The difference is that the boy had consequences for his actions. Aloy-cat didn't. It felt so well earned after his development in HW. I just wish Wuk Lamat had that treatment to learn something from.

If only you knew that Wuk could've resolved the entire Dragonsong War—a conflict between men and dragons that raged for hundreds of years—with nothing more than tacos and peace talks. Nidhogg would've called here Llama Tea too.

While she is not far down Wuk Lamat actually fights with minor characters with really few screentime down there.
I mean Honey Bee had like maybe 10 minutes?

I‘m also happy to see Otis and Sphene in the top 10.

But yeah. The Japanese are also annoyed by Wuk Lamat. That’s not just a Western thing.

Otis being below the one-gag Hrothgar in the side-character department is a damn crime though.

I can only assume his JP actor sounded super obnoxious or something.

He he probably so high because that’s the Japanese humor. There is really no deep explanation for that.
