    So let me get that straight:
    - As a Tank you should always wall-to-wall and be up front and let the DPS pull for you. You are a bad tank if you don't and complain that the DPS pulls for you and it's lethargic gameplay if you don't.
    - You should let the DPS pull for you and you grab the aggro regardless whether you want to wall-to-wall or not, and you are a bad tank if you don't like the DPS pulling ahead and it's tank ego if you don't do that.
    - Tank has no say in anything, and is just there to collect aggro.
    - Hall of the Novice is outdated because there is no more aggro management system, so the DPS should pull like in Everquest or FFXI which have a aggro management system.
    - Because you don't even want to be there in the first place.

    I suppose given time the players will optimize the fun out of the game, but this does sound a little bit disrespectctful to tanks, if not exploitative.
    Well, you heard it here folks, the only way for you to get your ego fix now is to pull whether the tank likes it or not.

    I think next time someone makes a thread to complain about lack of player interaction and how FFXIV is a single-player game, we should link 'em here.

    You talking about 2 pack's are the baby pull breathers and after EW when they put in more walls into dungeon design to stop the actual wall to wall pulls that existed before. New gen tank talk. Giving advice for 2 expansions in the game that don't include the leveling process itself or when they run roulette's.
    Most dungeons that are not from ARR usually have 2 packs to pull before you hit the wall with the third, so it's technically true. Holminster Switch and Doma Castle come to mind.
