Why is it that the girls they introduced in less than 30 minutes have a more compelling story than the 30+ hours we spend with Wuk Lamat.

Absolutely agree. They don't try to be anything more than they need to be, acknowledge you without overpowering or outright simping, treat you decently, and have a hook that makes sense and ties into the theme and culture of the zone, are competent as can reasonably be expected given their circumstances, and don't get in the way of the game.

The decently part is correct and funny.I thought the annoyed civilians were going to try to fight us lol. I was sitting there like “please restrain yourself. I dont want to do this”

My biggest hope for a redemption is them listening to the near universal dislike of wuk and write her out of as much future content as possible.

The raid was fun, good music and of course no Wuk Lamat, so it was a great raid.

My only minor complaint is the mechanics were a bit too simple. Out of all four, I didn't have a single group wipe even once, and I am assuming most of us went in blind.

The justification and premise are identical to the patches. Wuk Lamat really seemed do a number on the player base. The very first scene is "Hey aren't you that legendary adventurer, well msq is over and everyone's bored why not go adventuring?".

Is it bad (or good?) that I'm enjoying this side story way more than the 1st half of the Dawntrail MSQ?

It looks like a simple story but it's well put together, with likeable characters and a great setting.

This is literally all I wanted from the expansion, after the complete emotional beatdown from the past 2 expansions. I'm pretty sure collective expectations were pretty low, and even then they were unable to meet them. Just because I want a relaxing and chill adventure, it doesn't mean I want to listen to a suffocating NPC drone on about peace every 5 seconds.
