And will justly be ignore as they have no relevance to the thread as well and just come off as looking for a reason to attack/hate her, the person and not the voice acting (like, have you actually seen anything Sena has done outside of just a few cherry picked tweets?). Also, the bad performance is your opinion, which is fine. Much like how my opinion being "she was fine, despite some moments" which I blame entirely on the voice director and what VA's in general have to deal with (literally just a script. Don't even get to see the scene, hear dialogue of other languages to get an idea. Entirely reliant on the director and if they do not build the scene, then you get awkward moments) is fine.

Also, Thancred and Y'shtola sounded weird too, right? Like the scene before the 95 dungeon (I think? Could be more moments) Thancred just did not sound like... well, Thancred.

I have seen her other work on official voice reels, which she posted herself. It had similar issues as her work for Wuk Lamat: flat delivery, no range. There were a few good roles in there though, but not main character worthy in my opinion. Side characters would be fine, but she can't carry the show.

There are plenty of public posts out there made by Sena Bryer which are fairly vile in their messaging. I have seen these posts, and shared them. They're not cherry picked. They are still clearly visible even now. As you keep saying - we should focus on the performance.

See my post here. It becomes less of an opinion when there are many other people, both professionals and non-professionals alike, who call her out for the same reasons. And to repeat myself, why did Koana's VA not have similar issues? If we can assume the fault lies with the voice director, then surely he would have the same performance issues as Sena.

If, in your opinion, it sounded fine - then that's that. I don't want to change your mind. Some people like apples, some people don't.

I wholeheartedly agree. The usual British English cast sounded odd too. Y'shtola sounded as if she recorded her in a bathroom, which may as well be the case since she had so few lines.

No worries. And yeah, neither of us are going to agree on the VA quality, so agree to disagree on that. I do think the director absolutely deserves most of the blame though. The VA's for Thancred and Y'shtola have had years of VAing these characters, yet that was the best they did? Nah, something ain't right.

I may also put some blame onto whoever thought Sphene was a good name choice, too. Sure, in Japanese it sounds cool ("Su-ven!" "Sven!" for French), but in English... it's so dumb. It's one syllable and we say it with two e's in the middle. I get they wanted to keep the gem as names theme going, but why not something like... ohidunno, Beryl? Sure it would make certain fans go into fight or flight when hearing "Queen Beryl" and it might sound similar to barrel, but at least it sounds better than Sfeen.
