Dawntrail's 8-man raid discussion

They are actually really nice compared to EW and the Difficulity Spike is real, but wait for it, it takes 1 day and people start to cry how hard the raids are and pls nerf them, like always.

It was definitely a fun bunch of raids with and some fresh looking mechanics, but in the first three at least there wasn't really anything new or challenging. One-shotted with random JP players on DF. The last one caught us by surprise when she rocketed the arena, though that was only a wipe because both healers died. I'm looking forward to savage though!

The music on the 4th was pretty forgettable though. Ran it 5 times due to bad luck with rolls and yeah, it didn't stick.

The third fight of the tier felt the most...unremarkable overall as it doesn't really have a defining gimmick like the others.

I can already imagine the ways the "golf" mechanic in the first fight and the charm in the second will be a pain on savage.

Gear design was not to my liking but everything else is cool. I liked how the opponents were introduced and how the commentator said something every time I got hit haha.

The raid headgear doesnt work on the new races and even old races. Yes Viera is now an old race since its been more than 2 years now.

But everything else is great. The story is as simple as an anime tournament arc can get which is surprisingly better than DT MSQ

Agreed, third fight was the most underwhelming and the easiest (which is strange since the third fight in a raid tier is usually when the difficulty ramps up). The visual cue for the bombs was cute, but that was the only thing that stood out.

Why is it 1 VS 8?? It's so unfair!!! Other than that plot hole, it's been great.
I love Dawntrail and the raids are a good addition.
