especially as there's a YES/NO question before shutting down where NO just cancels the rest of your progression until you press YES.
it's a forced perspective as NO is not a viable option.
It's intended to feel like your own and not the WOL's choice.

Almost, you missed the part where we killed who knows how many people who had nothing to do with it to kill the queen, could have killed her without killing them all, but yaknow, easy to miss that part I guess.

Imagine someone living in a battery as it slowly dies out. The lights, the oxygen, your memories as you wonder why the world is going dark. You wanna fade out? Or just have the wol shut it down. Also the queen would continue her mission.

Well, there are a lot of options, but before that, a question, if you have a friend that is going to die from something in 10y are you going to just kill him now and call it a day?

A. Nothing, let them die from lack of ether, it might take days, weeks or years, let them finish what ever they have left naturaly.
B. Move them all to Robots if they wish, just like Otis was with a 2000 year old model.
C. Use Dynamis as a power source, we already discoverd that option last xPac but maybe the writer forgot??
D. The writers have the power to write what ever solution they want, they choose to kill who knows how many people just to shove their ideology down to the playerbase.

So I finished the msq, The story was lackluster throughout the xPac but the ending just felt evil to me, the writers try and push their point of view that life should end no matter what, that the endless are not really alive, even though we see that they are, they can hear, feel and think, express emotion, be happy and sad, the WOL just committed a mass murder and we are suppose to feel ok with that?

This has forever tainted my view of the wol, my character is now evil.

There were so many options it's not even funny, you can read literally one comment above yours where I listed a few, multiple people on this thread have listed more, people just say things without thinking.

A. Deadwalk is exactly why you don’t just let them run out of aether. They begin to warp themselves and the area around them as they lose themselves.

B. Robot Otis had both his original soul and his original memory, the “Otis” in Living Memory was a copy of his memory taken when he was put into the robot and they’ve both been separate since.

C. Dynamis doesn’t really work that well on our world because the aether is too thick.

D. What idealogy?
