Speak with Wuk Lumat NOW
Speak with Wuk Lumat NOW
Wonderfully written review. It was quite carthartic to read.
I have spent the better parts of the first couple of weeks of Dawntrail fantasising about my WoL abandoning Wuk Lamat on a trail somewhere, after dropping her initial fucks to give that is required of her charactrer. Even the plastic Scions present are offensive to me.

1.) there is no definitive review. You can't review on behalf of everyone.
2.) idc that we had to speak to wuk lamat a lot. I talked to every quest NPC in between every quest because their dialogue is good and I want to know what they have to say. I didn't even notice wuk lamat was the leading person to move the quest along because it litterally didn't matter. I talked to everyone all the time. The developers took the time to write the dialogue, I'm going to read it then.
3.) This isn't a review at all .this is a brief description of parts of every quest except every part that involved speaking to wuk lamat isn't described beyond speaking to her. this review is incredibly lazy. It's no different then writing out "pray return to the waking sands" instead of typing "return to minifilia to find everyone slaughtered/kidnapped" "return to minfillia and meet themis" 0/10 forum post

The DT story is a nothing-burger that is so unbelievably nothing that it's starting to pull a vacuum. Considering I jumped ship from WoW mainly because FFXIV actually made leveling and story a pleasant experience, this is bad news bears for me.
I'm honestly glad I'm not the only one with such huge qualms with the quality of this expansion's worldbuilding and MSQ--I've been afraid that I'd be labeled a bigot or something for speaking out against the "diversity good!" plot. At least I don't have a Twitter to get cancelled on...
Here's hoping that the person in charge at Squeenix gets their head screwed on a little tighter come 7.1. I love the general gameplay loop of FFXIV, but if the "story first MMO" can't even get the story content straight, I have little faith in anything else to come.
(Also, since WoW is apparently focusing more on its story in their upcoming expansion, I'm going to die laughing if their ""MSQ"" ends up better than DT's.)

My outline for a Chemist healer: https://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/threads/513527-Healer-Concept-Draft-Chemist
That horrendous Disney music with vocal was the most cringe inducing experience this game ever gave me. That aside I'll have to speak with Wuk Lamat to formulate a proper opinion.
6 out of 10 would have saved the AI waifu.
I am also a WoW > XIV player. Coming in at the tail end of ShB and now play both. Weaving between whichever has active patches and downtime. This is not pretty for FFXIV. I don't think WoW will nail a story to pull up to par with XIV for obvious reasons but I do think Square Enix have just removed the goalkeeper from the goal and given Blizzard a free shot to take for this latest match. No idea why they did this but it has tickled me.
I thought about begging Estinian for a piggyback ride and to be carted faaar away from there, so I could go have a real adventure like I was promised. We can go compete over who can catch dinner first or something.
My friend asked me who was singing the credits and I said baby bop, as we finished the game together.

Vacation with Estinien sounds so nice. I'd take that over whatever the fuck we got in DT![]()

I didn't realize Sweet Baby got involved in this, which all makes sense now. Sweet Baby, destroyer of legacies, ruiner of Quality Content.
Filled to the brim with salt, vinegar, and unpopular opinions.
Nobody told me Fantasias were addictive, now I have to go to rehab.
