the new lvl 100 job gear. not just random trash gear but the damn iconic gear doesnt have earholes for elezen! the dragoon poster race. every dragoon helmet upto this point has had room for our ears cept this one. also the only 1 that doesnt have visor options. it just feel extremely LAZY!!

this game makes you tons of money squeenix. stop filling your pockets and reinvest into your players instead of giving us the fucking bare minimum effort lately. dawntrail feels extremely lazy and its making me really sad for the future of this game

As a Lalafell as much as I dislike when we get the 'ear socks' with certain headgear, I would prefer them not to be cut off also.

For some reason, the vanguard tank/maiming set hides only FEMALE miqot'e's ears. Not male.

This is very weird, especially considering that the way the male miqo'te ears show is quite strange. They look like horns because they come from the circular shapes to the sides of the helmet. So in the end, they don't look very good. Those shapes should be further back in the helmet, something the designers would know if they didn't design gear for hyur by default all the time.

Bought the street set and was terribly disappointed that the hat doesn't show my ears. Noticed later they seemed to purposely choose sales images that don't cover this issue.

I want to give my support for this thread.
It’s just annoying at this point and I fail to see the reasons behind it.
Worst of all is that it’s completely random sometimes.
Some headgear shows ears and some doesn’t, like different people design that.

Just give us a toggle already.
I hardly wear headgear nowadays.

Worse is stuff that hides the tails though.

Like if theyre already not going to bother fitting gear to each race, which like to some extent I gey because there are a fair number of race specific edits theyd need to make so obviously they're going the route of faster and cheaper here, then like why not just let the ears clip and let people decide if they care or not. Maybe there are technical reasons they cant do a toggle but frankly I'd rather have a lot of hats that look stupid thanks to clipping than have a lot of hats that are flat out invisible or wholly chop my ears off. Like i like it for some hats and hoods when i play miqo but others just dont look good anyway and probably wouldn't be much worse if my ears just poked through them.

Gear from Stormblood onward that covers the entire head tends to fully hide the ears of miqo'te.

They design for e.g.: Female Midlander and then scale the item onto the other female races (usually except Lala). Saves a ton of work not having to do different meshes of every item they release.

It's not just the ears that don't get respected, its our tails also.
Very early gear hat specific meshes and cutouts for the tail. Later on they just went "Fork it" and let the tail clip through the clothing.
