Also, the story ends with Solution Nine being unsure about boy-king Gulool and Wuk has stepped forward as his regent, so they seem like they're already going to touch on that plot. Solution Nine is going to be a thorny situation due to, presumably, them having to come to terms with no longer harvesting souls. No where for the memory part to go now, so the whole process is in question. Plus, you know, ethics. I'd like to see Koana and her disagree on it, with Koana on the "Nope, this is wrong and impractical" side and Wuk taking the tact that she took in the last two zones and just be wishy-washy on the point, cus she values peace above all else and also she doesn't necessarily like to think too deeply. And the story should ultimately have Koana ultimately be right and Wuk gaining more reason.

Also, I'd like to explore Koana's backstory and have her be a supportive sister to him. Having her be the support instead of the supported could help her character too.

Koana just generally being the one to teach Wuk things now, so the Vow of Resolve gets tempered by some Reason. Koana already learned the lessons of Resolve in 7.0 itself and has a personality he's working on and growing in to b/c of it.

    ... I have ideas. >_> lol
I don't like the idea of Wuk Lamat getting people to mentor her once more, but the Solution 9 running a wedge between Koana and Wuk Lamat would be decent, while allowing some commentary on the issues of cultural relativism. But this just seems like another plotpoint where Wuk Lamat comes out victorious with having all the right answers in the end, especially when the values of multiculturalism and respecting and understanding other cultures in general have been such strong themes throughout the expansion almost to it's detriment (outside of the philosophical debate one can have about what we do with the Endless, which isn't really touched up).

I did mention Koana. Regardless, I never said we didn't have good characters but rather they had very little development. Erenville manages to get something but a good portion of his story is completely sidelined in favor propping up Wuk Lamat. He finally gets a moment... at the very end of the story before we're right back to Wuk running the show for the remainder of the game. At least he had some build up with his mother unlike poor Krile who wasn't even allowed to open the door to the Golden City herself. Speaking of Cahciua, she's great. Not a lot in the way of character development which was my point of critique but you could argue that, I'll admit.

I wouldn't be surprised if the 7.x patches reveal that she was Azem's lover when the world wasn't sundered or something, going by that one cutscene with Koana in your room.

I don't know, her final speech in front of the S9's people gave me a really big wtf, because this is how I see it:

    - Hello everyone, I am the one who just killed your beloved Queen.

    - I understand your previous king who came from our world have never give a shit about you and made your life miserable in the past 30 years.

    - No matter! This is the child of said king, and you must treat him right.

    - You better do as I said because he is under MY protection.

I'm from a country that's used to be under French protectorate in the 18th century, and upon that last sentence I was like "did she really just say that?!?!?" In my fantasy I would hope this is actually laying the ground work for a future conflict where the people of the new reflection will rise up against Wuk Lamat's imposed rule. If that's the intent than they get the script down to all the detail: killing the current ruler -> replace with a child ruler -> claim to be the protector of that child rule.

But if the intention is to create a Disney like - cultural understanding story than ... idk, forget about bad wring, the writers need to pick up a history book ...

Personally I would rather they just sideline wuk lamat with paperwork for the rest of the next 10 years. Give the kid a different mentor from that shard and let them replace whatever she was supposed to do there.

Let's just use Nostalgia or Shale or honestly literally anyone, I've seen more Wuk lamat in this one expansion than I have seen most characters in two expansions. No more please, I've never skipped cutscenes in the entire 11+ years I've played, I don't want to have to start now.

Like please just no more Wuk lamat online, I'm already wanting my money back.

I am legit baffled why Galool Ja even exists. He is a kid so he isn't going to be some contributing character ever since they never let characters age. He doesn't add anything to the plot or ever do anything important. He only exists to once again give Wuk Lamat a chance to spooge about family and Zarool Ja to have something to say while he dies.

He also exists so they can basically mock Krile as being completely useless because she's not important enough to make a key magically work.

We all know it's the Disney intention sadly. They need to change this games rating to M, and turn Wuk Lamat's naive decision making into the carnage that would really happen if these decisions were made to a thinking population.

Why on earth would the people of a thinking nation accept the child of a king they didn't like, let alone tried to murder them afterwards, and enforced by a foreign ruler who killed the queen they loved for centuries.

The only possible realistic outcome is a French revolution and Gulool Ja Jas head rolling off a guillotine. But lets face it, while this would turn the story good, it is NEVER going to happen.
