    I pay monthly to play the game and in a sense I'm a tad obligated to get through MSQ as quickly as possible not because of savage or any content you name but to basically avoid spoilers cause the internet, been super busy so I had a lot of trouble trying to play it through the weekday and when I finally get an opportunity to get real time to play the game, I'm hit with what feels like I lost my expansion I paid for and have to wait till my next busy schedule to fix an issue they created.

    Ya, I think I have a right to be upset. Maybe not as much as you are imagining me being but yes, I'm pretty upset.

    Yes, plan ahead of time for emergencies so paying customers can play and enjoy their products without any inconvenience.

    What are you even talking about? You're saying there's nobody there on the weekend but they did the maintenance and fixed the problem today, on a weekend? And you're talking about a completely different issue lol? The maintenance was for Xbox crashing issues.

    It was at like 9 in the morning EST, that's one of the points in time where there would be the least impact. The maintenance needed to happen ASAP because the Xbox version wasn't working since Early Access.

    My guy, this isn't out of the ordinary here. As many have already said here and in another forum post. Emergency is exactly that, an emergency. You can wait on it, xbox players have been through the ringer from the start. This is one of the top priorities they had to fix, especially during a new expansion launch. Waiting for either next Tuesday or even 7.01 patch would cost SE alot of money. If your in NA I'm sorry but the patch happend early morning and only lasted less than their predicted 4 hours. Having a fit because a few hours is lost is weird. And let's not forget that the extra space for servers has lessened queue times, if they hadn't done that you would have still lost those hours maintenance or no.

    If you are worried about spoiler, and I would be too and understand what you mean. There's a pretty easy fix.

    One. wipe your youtube history, search history,
    Two.turn off all say, shout, yell, tell and even FC chat if you need to.
    Three. Stay away from anything related to ff14, or any social media like Twitter or the 14 forums for that matter.
    Four. Maybe get a youtube thumbnail blur extention for chrome?

    I'll be blunt and say it's a you issue with spoilers. And we all pay a sub just like you, mine is a non standard with a full 10 retainer account at $56 bucks a month canadian, and you don't see me complaining. This is standard fair for not only MMO's but online as a whole, an emergency is an emergency and needs to be fixed ASAP. It's in the TOS that you agree to abide by.

    They can certainly plan for what to do when an emergency happens. What they can't do is plan emergencies, so they know when they will happen.

    And I am sure they had plans for how to handle an emergency, and followed that plan - which involved calling in people on the weekend to fix the problem as soon as possible, even if it is not a convenient time for everyone. If they could have waited until a more convenient time, it wouldn't have been much of an emergency.
