They took my SAM and made for journalists.
Started playing viper and for the first time i enjoyed different class than SAM and they already wanna make it easier.
Just learn how to click buttons thank you.

You realize you are playing the retirement home of MMO's , right?
You're spending too much time at awful places online if 'made for journalists' is a go-to insult.
If the devs just listened to the forums for every random "large amount of complaints" then every named character in this story would be long dead. Cause there's always a mob, after someone, at all times. Every job would get simultaneously nerfed and buffed at the same time. At some point you just have to look at what the majority of players are saying, and not just "oh the amount of people saying X is pretty high I guess".
People don't know how good they actually are compared to the majority of players in ffxiv I have seen players play MMOs only using their mouse pushing their keyboard completely to the side, people clearly don't read tooltips of their abilities or even look up a basic rotation.
And let's not even begin talking about stat allocation, hell, I have seen many people not even using any melds in max level gear missing skills from job quest like comuneless reapers or people who run around without job stones.
And also keep in mind the game is also on consoles with extremely limited button availability along with slower reaction times in general
If you're looking for hard / challenging classes and a heavy combat focused game, I'm sorry, but the game is not for you FFXIV is and has been for the past 5+ years a glorified visual novel that just happen to have raids in it combat has never been its strong suit like WoW for example who priorities gameplay over story while ffxiv is story / RP / fluff content way before combat comes in to play.
Those who expect any different should in fact quit because the game is clearly not for them, so if you're not having fun then leave you have so many other good games you can play that focuses on high APM gameplay expecting the game to change to suit a vast minority is flat out delusional
Also, do you know what companies truly listen to? Making less money and while yes square is not as greedy as others they are a company nonetheless.
And the best way to see the change you want to see is to make enough of an impact to their bottom line, words only do so much the wallet is where the true power lies.
As long as there are enough people who feel the same way, it's the only way to truly make a change

I agree that it’s getting ridiculous. Not every job needs to be completely accessible for a brand new player. I don’t even mean that in a snobby way. I just think it’s ok for some jobs to have more nuance and depth for people who want it. I was really sad about what they did to SMN last expansion. I’ve accepted that it’s now the “easy caster”. It was also the most popular caster by a wide margin last expansion. I assume once the hype has died down for PCT, SMN will take the #1 spot again. It’s definitely the safest choice for endgame content. Tons of mobility, not many buttons. It’s basically press the next glowing button.
