Better planning for maintenances

With all due respect SE needs a better planning for maintenances. It is really possible to plan a more suitable time for maintenances. Today’s maintenance chosen time is hard to accept. It could be reasonable depending of the duration of the maintenance but a 4h window maintenance is way too much for a weekend with high volume of players.
And there is also the fact now that we can not log-in due to the number for concurrent log-in attempts.

Again, with all due respect I do ask SE to better plan future maintenances even emergency ones as a way to minimize impacts on us (customers) and avoid overload on you server side. A maintenance policy should be implemented or revisited in case there is one.

I don't mean to be disrespectful but next time you're going to pay a bill and your bank is out because they also have emergency maintenances you can go after 4 hours later and try to pay your bill again and everything is ok? Because it is an emergency, you can't plan in advance for when they happen. If you knew when they would happen, they would hardly be emergencies.

If I am going to pay a bill, and my bank is closed due to an emergency, then unless my own planning is lousy (and usually even then) I can indeed easily wait 4 hours or 24 hours and try again and everything is ok.

Even an emergency should be planned ahead of time. If they had an emergency maint to do, they should of grabbed some employees to work this weekend due to an emergency so any customer who has purchased the expansion and subscription will be able to get the assistance needed.

edit; I've been busy all week, just got a puppy, father been sick, etc etc and as soon as I finally get time to do some catching up, I'm locked out of my game and character because my standard key I wasn't aware of having to insert is suddenly invalid and there is no one to assist me on the weekend due to their schedule. I know my schedule isn't their issue but to claim an 'emergency' is the reason I'm locked out of my game is pretty absurd when I'm paying monthly for it and the sub is NOT cheap!
