No where in the Dawntrail trailer do you see Wuk Lumat doing anything. If the trailer was accurate, you would see Wuk Lumat doing everything and your characters in the background. When I think about it, the trailer was completely false advertising. They will never be liable for it, but the trailer was a lie.

The trailers have never been accurate depictions of what happens in the story.

Hell, they showed Hraesvelgr attacking Ishgard in Heavensward's due to a screw up and never fixed it.

Minus the whole...you know...entire lead-up to DT being about Wuk Lumat and her hiring us to help her become the new ruler...

Personally, many "trailers" today annoy me in that they give away far too much. I like a trailer that doesn't spoil stuff.

We can't really blame the trailer....if the writers were competent and actually made a compelling story with lovable characters we wouldn't be here today making a fuss
