Idk this sounds like a skill issue
While I agree, at the same time if you're gonna do a dungeon blind then you're probably gonna die at least once or twice while figuring out the mechanics, which is especially a pain if you're playing healer since it's 99% Picromancers and Vipers as party members, meaning that you ain't getting rezzed.

Plus there's bosses like 2nd dungeon 2nd boss where you can easily get killed because instead of stacking on you, morons run away with the donut marker and clip you, or they stand on you with puddle markers.

Either way, I'd like to think it's not too unreasonable to ask a tank to just wipe instead of making us watch them solo the boss from 70% to 0. I want to actually play the game, not play spectator mode to someone's ego.

Most of these dungeons are deadly. I farmed up my gear for the extreme trials yesterday and saw many new players die. A lot of bosses also have very "gotcha!" moments that you need to see once to understand (esp the first boss of the desert expert dungeon).
How are they supposed to learn, osmosis? It's not like undergeared healers/dps can soak 3 vuln stacks and shrug it off.
Some people in this thread actually abusing "tank privilege" and trying to make Warrior sound like a challenging job. I've seen it all.
I don't consider myself extremely skilled but deffo above-average, but it still takes me needing to see an attack once or twice to figure it out because some of the markers can be plain confusing, like the AoE indicator with the rotating swords in the instanced fights.

Kinda wish people didn't treat going into a dungeon blind and dying as something shameful, it happens to literally everyone, especially since they ramped up dungeon boss damage this xpac so that you're 2 shot instead of 3 shot like in previous expansions. Hell, I've even gotten one-shot with a couple vuln stacks from a few mechs.

People just need to accept there's a good chance you'll die at some point your first or second time going through these dungeons and stop treating it like a skill issue.

While farming a bit of the lv100 dungeon for tomes, been using Nascent and Shake on new healers during major mechanics. But yeah ill wipe if party dies off right away (Tender Valley always seems to 1 shot new folks lol) its nice a lot of these new dungeon bosses have damage boarders at least.

This entire thread just enforces the need to nerf tanks into the ground.

So many people acting like it's pure skill to facetank mechanics and press Bloodwhetting, acting like it's their god-given right to carry the filthy DPS and healer who are eating dirt on their very first run through new content that's not even a week old.

It's a design issue that should be fixed, but they won't.

Just don't die, it's okay anyway, healers aren't needed.

As someone who now just tanks in roulettes due to no trust for randoms, all I can say is “Just don’t die to easy dungeon mechanics.” I will just let you lay there and reflect on your mistakes. Probably those extra two minutes laying there dead will make you think to yourself, “Man…I should really just open my eyes next time for future mini-boss fights.”

I'll go for a bit after a near total wipe, in new content, just to see the mechs. I'll kill myself after I've seen all of them. I don't think there's anything wrong with a solo from low HP though, and keeping yourself and the DPS alive can be pretty fun at higher percents.

I would say “tanks if you are so confident it’s your skill at reading blind mechanics and not just “I can facetank 5 vuln stacks” then when you take 2 pieces of damage within a 2 minute window you should just hurl yourself into the death wall and reflect on being so garbage”

BUT THE DEATH WALL won’t even kill tanks

It’s not your skill, it’s how hilariously overtuned you are

As a healer main in this game for nigh on 14 years all I can say is that I’m tired. My role has been eroded of complexity and expression for 3 expansions. I’ve watched the tanks do my role for me for 2 expansions and my feedback and critiques continue to fall on deaf ears.

I have no idea who modern healers are designed for but I know now it’s not me. This is the first expansion I’m truly considering dropping the healer role and not returning, so if that was the goal- congratulations I guess

What about new mechanics people haven't seen yet? Like the bubbles on the first boss of the third dungeon. I died to those my first time there because it was a 50/50 if the knockback would move players or bubbles (or both). I haven't died to it since because I have now figured it out by seeing it. But the mechanic still killed me because I had to guess what it would do and guessed wrong.

Unless the way mechanics work becomes extremely clear and consistent, you literally can't expect people to know what will happen with the more obscure ones. Sometimes, people are new to content. Or they haven't seen older content in ages (sometimes, I don't see a particular instance in over a year) and they have forgotten some of the more unique gimmicks. Sometimes people are tired or distracted. They will get hit and, if their ilvl is low, they might die. It's completely normal and acting like you're somehow better because you can just decide you don't feel like doing mechanics today due to insane tank privilge is really silly.

Not to mention, the vast majority of people learn after a mechanic kills them. A few take a handful of times seeing it before it clicks and that's fine. If they still don't get it, I have had great success with asking in chat if they want me to explain the mechanic and then explaining it to them if they say yes.
