When using both face 3 and mouth 3 on female AuRa, when smiling in game from the most common face angle in cutscenes, teeth are shown on both sides of the mouth:
Anybody know if this a graphical issue on my end, or something that needs to be fixed?

Just want to re-state my appreciation for the graphics update. While the update wasn't 1:1 to my character's previous looks, it didn't need to be; what's important is that the HD update was made, and increase in overall polygons, character fidelity, and physics engine updates are a good step forward for ffxiv.
Looking forward to new options like FFXII viera ears. The next graphics update should be mainly for new character options imo. Give au ra new tail/horn choices, give viera new ear choices, give elezen more face choices, etc
For me, personally speaking, the graphics update actually made me happy to use the free Fantasia to go back to a Hyur.
Not that Miqo'te were ruined, but Hyur felt a little lacking before the graphics update.
(Which apparently my Forum profile doesn't reflect yet.)
I see it on my character sometimes. I wonder if its a glitch/oversight on shading around the mouth?![]()
People know what they do; frequently they know why they do what they do; but what they don't know is what what they do does.
So not exclusive to face/mouth 3, then... I think it's likely an oversight with the shape/size of the new mouths. When they move in a certain way they leave gaps where previously they didn't. I don't know how often devs check this thread, but I'm hoping they see it and can implement a fix!
This also happens with male miqo'te face 1 and mouth 4, particularly when smiling and when looking from a lower angle. So not exclusive to face/mouth 3, then... Just chiming in to say that I use the same face + mouth (Raen instead of Xaela though), and I've also encountered this. It's made taking screencaps more difficult, it's so irritating.
I expect it to be an unpopular opinion but I don't like the new hair textures much, the darker lines in the old ones made the hair look more defined and in the new one I feel like the detail gets lost.
Also, I took this screenshot (old/new) for another thread but I can't get over how crispy and pixelated the character looks (especially in gpose/cutscenes). I'm not sure if this is the right word but it looks like a lack of anti-aliasing? The hair is also too bright.

Honestly, agreed, at least where it concerns hairstyles like yours that really took an obvious hit. I've seen others in light colors that look good to me, generally, but styles like these seemed to have lost more definition than others. I think the blurry super-sampling owed to DLSS and certain FSR settings is at least partially to blame, though, especially when zoomed out. That and the finer hair textures aren't always playing well together.I expect it to be an unpopular opinion but I don't like the new hair textures much, the darker lines in the old ones made the hair look more defined and in the new one I feel like the detail gets lost.
