Your quote, i was refering to the brand new story arc after the ascian stuff has ended with endwalker. Thats all.
And i am not trying to make other peoples opinions invalid. As i mentioned all have their right to be there.
I too respect both the people who are having a great time with this expansion and those who are not, but this is a very weak argument. The only thing a new expansion had to do to offer the promise of a brand new story arc after Endwalker, was exist as a new expansion released after Endwalker. You could really not set a lower bar to meet, because it already clears this one without even having to look at the quality of the content, no?

    1. 4 Words, Guns of the Patriots. Kojimbo and Konami got shit on so hard with it due to questionable pacing and cutscene length. They got shit on so bad that they had to tell reviewers to not mention anything about cutscene length because players may not buy the game. This has been a turn-off, at a bare minimum, since 2008.

    2. NG+ Exists I can replay whatever the hell I want (when it's supported). I can just be a story skipper chad and then watch everything a year later in NG+. I don't even know what argument you are trying to make with the implication of FOMO. I paid for this content; it's mine and there's an option to even re-visit it almost as a fresh experience built into the game if I decide to story skip the first time due to time constraints or whatever; it's not like the story is going anywhere, so where the hell is the FOMO as you said verbatim "but the story is limited". Worst come to worst I'll just boost another alt to DT and start there 2 years down the line.

I'm not questioning your intelligence here so please forgive if I come out like that, but like come on, NG+ has existed for a long ass time now.

I'm also resisting the urge to Frodo the crap out of you so hard because a lot of parts to the plot are just nonsensical.

Dawntrail rewards attentive players with emotional intelligence, offering a refreshing experience that respects its audience's maturity.
What? There is literally a scene before you get to the 3rd zone where Wuk Lamat talks to a person in Tuliyollal when we walk up the stairs right next to where the person was, and Wuk has a sepia-colored flashback of the person she literally just talked to seconds ago!

Dawntrail does NOT reward attentive players with emotional intelligence. It constantly repeats and hammers the player with the same lines, information, and imagery to make sure they can only have one emotion, and it enforces that by not allowing our character to even have the option of having a different one. In the past, we've played along with stupid things the NPCs have said and done, but at least we had the option to express our disagreement. In Dawntrail, there is not even the "..." option anymore!

It is not skillfully crafted for a mature audience. It is clearly intended for a teen audience and the writing is second rate cartoon level.

Just finished myself and had a great time - which is was longer tbh. I do admit its got some issues, and its not the best story they have done, but its not trash imo. Its a little back loaded, which the first 4 zones feeling well scripted but a little similar in terms of what is happening. I also agree the gameplay aspects need updating, but all in all had a good time, and loved the dungeons and trials, music, visuals and references, along with the overall story.

Looking forward to see where things go from here.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but we went from "Getting the throne for Wuk Lamat" to "World annihilating threat" within a few story beats. Is this standard now?

I'm all for people having a different opinion than me, but please don't pretend this expansion is half as good as this post is trying to make out because I will call you a liar directly to your face.

I don't know about one of the best, but it's way better than half the people are giving it credit for. It's not Shadowbringers good, but for me nothing has been. I've enjoyed it.

Everyone has their own opinion on this matter; some will like it, while others won't, and that's perfectly acceptable. It's important for everyone to express their views.

Personally, I found a few rough patches, but overall, it's a compelling start-up story that raises many questions and potential future implications for enthusiasts like me.

Take, for instance, whether anyone in the new world would be aware of the WOL, the 13 reflections (even Wuk Lamat is unaware, and I suspect no one there would know of us), the Ascians, and other challenges we've faced over the past decade. Ultimately, we are either following our own legacy or that of Azem—the traveler who visits various places, learns about the culture and its people, assists them in various situations ranging from mundane to world-threatening, and, in times of need, collaborates with them to ensure everything turns out well.
