Can confirm, you can skip all of Llama Tea's dialogue, and you literally miss out on nothing. Worst character they've ever forced on us.

Some say she's Lyse better written, but Lyse was far more mature in a rather mature storyline overshadowed by better characters. Llama Tea gets 85% of the screen time and dialogue boxes, including many dialogues that you can't Enter/X your way through, and her growth amounts to a campfire scene where she gets told to be more mature, and then decides to be more mature... without actually changing at all.

The Role quest NPCs actually experience more growth with a thicker plot in five role quests than Llama Tea does over the twelve dozen or so she's in.

And they force the WoL to warm to her without the player's opt in, as if she were as charming as Aphmau from FFXI or something. Ridiculous.

Would you say the role and beast tribe quests are worth doing, storywise?

If anything there should be more lizards. And you should be able to play as a mammol ja.

Well we already know how thats gonna turn out. SE is going to have trouble designing assets that fit the model of the mamool ja correctly lol. Just look at all the trouble they're having with trying to do that for the viera and Hroth.

Square Enix is a very small indie developer. Working around something like bunny ears on the head is something that can take several years and the creation of many new graphical design and 3d modeling tools, innovating the industry to new heights.

Would you say the role and beast tribe quests are worth doing, storywise?

Well, I have only done the Ranged DPS one fully 90-100 now, but.. yes, actually very much yes. This quest line gave me joy. I felt happy doing it. I got to feel like a competent adventurer again at the center of the action, with our character the driving force. And I was paired with an npc that was actually pulling her weight while also giving the player recognition. Just four quests into that role quest, I felt inside me that I liked these characters, that I had a connection with them. Was it a perfect mini arc that left no questions unanswered? No, but by the Twelve I had FUN again after the agony of the msq. And I had similar feelings doing the metalworker crafter role quests.. even in random yellow quests I pick up here and there. All I can really say to explain it is, all of those non-msq quests put the player character back at the center of driving the action and being the person shown front and center in the cutscenes. It is finally about what WE do, at least in those role quests that I have done so far, and is that ever a much needed palate cleanser after what I had to sit through to unlock it all by completing 7.0's main story.

And don't get me started on NO Y'shtola, Urianger, Thancred or Estinien. I actually DESPISE Dawntrail. I thought it couldn't get any worse than Endwalker. I was wrong, SO WRONG. After being a faithful subscriber of ten years, I think it's time to end my journey in FFXIV. DT is utter garbage.

Yup I changed my mind Wuk Lamat would have been fine if she stayed behind as the dawnservent. Devs basically lied about the story focusing more on Krile. I really wanted the story to be more about her hell she should have been the one narrating the story too.

I'm currently at the final Trial and I just stopped caring about the story. They really dropped the ball.. however I will say as a monk main the gameplay and dungeons, and trials have been a blast.
