[Feedback] Wuk Lamat's English Voice

I personally hold the character they chose to be the center of attention this entire expansion, who has the most dialogue out of everyone, to higher standards than an NPC who says like 2 lines.

That's nice. But this thread is indeed about her voice acting, and I was comparing her VA quality to another character, throwaway or not, in the same expansion.

I'm sure more people are irritated by Wuk than that character since the character you mentioned comes and goes in 1 minute. Meanwhile we have endless hours of Wuk. Maybe you think this is a useful comparison. I don't.

Having one fly-by-night NPC be worse than Wuk in no ways elevates the "star" of this expansion.

The VA of Wuk Lamat doesn't have a "fake" accent. She does not have portuguese accent because she's Puerto Rican... lol

I switched to JP voices at my wife's request to listen to her favorite VA (Thancred's), and I haven't changed back to English since. The voices are much more fitting to each character, and the direction they gave to the voice actors was clearly superior. Like, it doesn't matter if you can't understand Japanese at all, just switch it and you'll see what I'm talking about.

She's from kentucky (a 10 sec google proves this), you don't magically gain an accent genetically.

I've never really understood why people care so much about accents. They're not even speaking the native language of the country they're taking their influence from. If a game is based in Japan, I don't need to hear Japanese people speaking English with a Japanese accent. As long as the writing and voice acting is done well, I don't care. These aren't real places with real people, it's a game.
