I turned it off immediately too. Didn’t like it at all. It also bothers me that all the BGM is on a constant loop. I wish the tracks would play only semi-frequently. I am going to keep the BGM off for now because I am enjoying it more that way.

Love the day and night tracks. Not a fan of where they're placed.
Seethe. These are such non-issues.
It's good but it's definitely out of place. It reminds me of traditional American jazz pop from the WWII era. I half expected Frank Sinatra to suddenly start singing in the middle of the song.
The Legends of the Titanmen lives on, a shining example of the power of compassion and the ability of people to make a difference in the world. A reminder that even in the darkest of times, there is always hope, as long as there are heroes like the Titanmen who dare to do good deeds in Eorzea.
I don't have an opinion on the type of music but I do think the day theme blasts in a little too strongly when you're coming out of cutscenes with different music.
I like the BGM choice for Tuliyollal. There's plenty of zones to mix in a different variety of LA and SA influences. I feel like the Tuli BGM was chosen not for the environment, but the atmosphere. It's the first place we visit when arriving in the New World to start the new story that's not about saving the universe, and it has this big band/jazz feel to it. That's how it fits for me.
It's kind of...immersion breaking after getting culturally appropriate music for other cities like Kugane and Radz-at-han.
I just don't like jazz, so my opinion on it was bias from the start. My FC loves it though.
I was so excited about the big band opening but then the sax solo started and I did the same thing I do when I get Gubal in roulette and /bgm off.
The rest of the zones have been amazing so far but I try to avoid spending time in Tuliyollal if I can help it.
I am probably one of the only ones but I liked it. I am always odd though.
Wise men speak because the have something to say, fools because they have to say something. - Plato - He saw the ff forums apparently.
For Tuliyollal city theme, I can see where Soken has taken inspiration from...
