What is the point of taking smn when rdm have more dps and can rez a whole groupe in a few gcd ?
Smn needs to have a better dps than rdm

SMN is more mobile, has self-mit and is generally much easier to play.
Like, not having cast bars needs to have a cost when your role is caster.

The point of taking SMN over RDM should be "I think SMN is more fun". All jobs are viable and able to clear. Unless you're chasing parses or week 1 clears, your DPS literally doesn't matter.
The point is, if RDM have more dps than SMN, every good group, will never choose SMN over RDM in a prog setting

I disagree somewhat. I do think RDM should be above smn but not by that much. RDM is only a little harder than smn but not by that much plus it can rez a lot more than smn can. RDM can chain rezs in spots where a lot of ppl die and smn doesn't have that since it needs a swift cast to get one person up fast. This is my main issue with the caster as a role ever since they rework smn. RDM and SMN are way to similar casters IMO. They both have pretty much the same value utilities, both have rezs, and both are fairly easy to play and get a lot of movement. RDM is only little hard since it does have to cast every other spell but let's not pretend its that much of a complex hard job. Before smn was reworked rdm was the easiest job in the game thanks to dualcast. It really haven't change all that much since SB in complexity IMO, smn just was dumb down to the point that its the worst job in the game now. As a smn main I HATE what they did to my fav job in EW and I will never forgive yoshiP and the dev team for what they did with smn.
