I did see on twitter earlier, after this post was made on the Lodestone, that Aether had hit cap. You might be able to get back once prime time dies down some though, it's been intermittent I think.

Aether got hit the hardest out of all the DCs as predicted. Not only do you have the natives but you still have people who transferred over prior to the servers going down for easy queues. Not shocked at all tbh.

Still an issue. Said they fixed it, they didn't. Been stuck away from home world for about half the day. Wouldn't be so bad if I couldn't access retainers, or get into restoration because it's full. Oh, and I can't get onto a smaller data center BECAUSE YOU HAVE TO LOG OUT FROM YOUR HOME WORLD.

At least allow people to enter a queue to return to their home world instead of a flat "No". Or how about letting of change to the low population data centers?....

EDIT: How to get it to work. Spam "return to home world" from character select screen. It takes 1 minute between attempts, and took me 15 minutes total, but I got back home. Never leaving again.

If it's congested, you should try to log in outside of peak hours. My server has a que of 3,700+ throughout the day, but at night (10pm PDT - or around 1am for East Coast US players) it has a que of 7 and no congestion. You may be able to log in the server during that time. That doesn't solve the issue of not being able to data center transfer though, or being locked out from going back to your home server. You'll at least be able to play. I would try contacting a GM or even SE customer support. This is an awful predicament anyone could accidentally be in, and I apologize that you're in it.

I'm also sorry for all the, You had warning so sit in your problem sort of responses. We all have lives, and this is just a game. It's very easy to make this mistake. It's a terrible decision on SE's part to completely cutoff all world travel even outside of prime hours when the ques are low.

Typically congestion after an expac clears up maybe 2-3 weeks after release. I'm sorry again you're in this situation, but I would try to reach out to SE at this point.
