Very sad to put on yet another new hat with yet another built-from-scratch model that is not visible on my Hrothgar. I've given up on having everything from before ShB be backported, since I know it takes a lot of effort, but when they make brand new hats but then deliberately exclude us it makes these races feel like an afterthought compared to the catgirls and femras of the world.

Also I would like to add that all those recent events which had a headpiece unavailable for viera/hrothgar (even when the plot of the event stops making sense without it) - were defended by saying there is a graphical update incoming, which is supposedly will address it. And here we are again.

People make excuses for it, but anyone who has played for awhile at this point (and isn't delusional) knows how CBU3 operates. Miqo'te, even though they are the most populous player race, are often left out of even slight headgear adjustments (which has been a thing for awhile now). If anybody seriously thought (and I mean ACTUALLY thought they would) that they were going to add hats to viera/hrothgar, that is a big lol.

I play since StB, and giving up on things is certainly a way to cope and a personal choice I won’t argue with. But calling people delusional for expecting to deliver on promises made and an equal treatment between races - is not helping anyone.

Is there actual text or direct quotes of them saying, "hey we are going back on our decision and making all hats available for viera/hrothgar", or at least at minimum: "All future hats available". I'd like to actually see Yoshida state that, rather than head adjustments that people think allude to that. Yoshida has stated on multiple occasions no hats, but perhaps I am wrong! I haven't followed the news that closely since partway through EW, when I gave up even bothering anymore.

Not something you can sue them for, no. But https://youtube.com/live/JhNkQv_wUj4 starting from 4:18:20 they are talking about unification of the head for races and one of the reason/goal is to reuse assets and streamline development. Which brings the question - what assets if not the hair or the headpieces? Especially something that was not possible before with all them being separate. And if it for some reason animation - then why not call it that? I can’t speak for hrothgars, but viera definitely got remodelled and unified. And for what then? Being upset and disappointed that all that was not even for getting access to the _new_ gear at the very least - seems pretty natural to me.
