What is with the obsession of watching someone else play a game, drops or not?

I will never get how people waste hours watching someone else play a game when they can just play it themselves.

It's not that people wants to watch someone play, quite the opposite.
People here Don't want to see what the streamer is doing but they also want the Twitch Drop mount.

I only have 1 browser window open and I pretty much always do something else while the muted tab plays by itself with all the other tabs.
Never had any problems this way.

If the window is muted, that has no bearing if it counts. If the "video" is muted, then it doesn't count. If you don't turn off the memory saver, then any tab, muted or not, will stop after a while. This is especially true of youtube, which will literately stop the video the second it's not in the focused tab.

Hmm.. There are times I've had 2 or more streams on Youtube up at once and while playing games, so if anything I could've only had 1 of them in focus (in the background).
Yet I've never had any other stream stop due to "inactivity".
Playlists on the other hand, regardless if it's the focused tab or not will show a "do you want to continue watching the playlist?".

I guess I'll use my laptop start a video turn it down low and then turn the laptop aside so I don't see it. That way can play for it and etc. to get the stuff.

RathGames is another option for those who want to avoid Dawntrail content all together. He does solo challenges and posted on X about the mount. Content deals with prior expansions.
