What is your problem?
People who want the mount cannot get it without spoiling themselves (unless they go through a lot of hoops to set up a fake stream, which most people don't know about!) Apparently this is "troll" now?

Put cell phone on charger. Pull up Twitch. Turn off sleep mode. Turn volume nearly off. Put face down. Profit.
As someone who actively collects twitch drops for various games I'm gonna clear up some misinformation cause this thread is a little too "the sky is falling".
1. It's true you need to have the sound "active", but this means you can set it to 1%, or just mute the tab (but keep the volume up on the actual video player).
2. You don't need to have the tab up front and center. Twitch allows for at least 3 streams to be open and considered "active" before it starts to mess with you "viewing" the streams. Other websites won't interfere with this at all unless your browser has a setting to deactivate inactive tabs. You should be able to continue browsing the internet while still getting drops, and you are especially able to just minimize your browser and play FFXIV.
This is all true for at least Chrome. Other browsers may have settings that conflict with this, so I can't say for sure how it'll interact with them.
However, you should be able to easily put your volume to 1% (and then your browsers volume to 1% if you aren't using it and want to make extra sure you hear nothing) and scroll the stream down til you can only see the very bottom pixel/the name of the game being played, then go about your business checking the tab now and then to make sure they are still streaming. This will guarantee that you hear nothing and see nothing while still getting credit. The only "risk" is maybe seeing something on the thumbnails when choosing a stream, but like just squint or blur your eyes when doing that I guess. Also keep a drops tab open and check your progress through that since there will be no stream playing there and you'll see how far along you are/be able to claim the rewards.
Do you know how long the MSQ takes? People who only play 1 or 2 hours a day aren't going to finish it before the event ends.
So I have to go through all this tech tweaks just to get the mount safely without getting spoilered. Why don't they just shift it to July?As someone who actively collects twitch drops for various games I'm gonna clear up some misinformation cause this thread is a little too "the sky is falling".

The campaign is ongoing for quite awhile, just finish the story before tuning in to twitch no big rush to jump on it the second it launches.
Or the MSQ is so bad they want everyone to rush it and then kickstart the "What's the point with that quite lackluster story in Dawntrail? " topic on the forums![]()
