I have to agree w/ SynysterBlitz macros do all of what you just said. If you use them well/properly, a single ctrl + [n] and you execute your next 1~10 commands w/ delays where needed for you to reposition yourself. If you can't find a way to make a macro that executes 5 skills w/ delays between and even fair warnings about where to stand next tossed in for simplifying your life...

And if in a skill combo you press 1,1,1,1,1 it's more presses then ctrl+1 everytime, unless you mean for the action bar to automate the remaining combo hits for you, but then it might as well just be a single ability right? Like 5hit-Go-Combo...

Macro's are convience in a nutshell, they let you do more than just use your abilities in sequence, you get to /echo /recast /party /say /wait /ac for 10 straight commands, all in a single ctrl+[n]. Do you think they're going to have skillchains that take more than 10 skills? I'm of a mind to say not gonna happen.
