Romance often resides in headcanon rather than canon, and developers seem hesitant to disrupt these personal interpretations. In fact, at times, it feels like they prefer to gauge the prevalent headcanons before making any significant moves.

No romances will ever be formally confirmed in canon unless it's intended from Day 1 (Rowena/Gerolt) because the dev team knows that their fanbase is thirsty AF and likes to self-ship anyone and everyone in the cast.

This is why Aymeric will never date Lucia, Ryne will never marry Gaia, Cirina will never marry Sadu, Hien will never marry Yugiri, Y'shtola will never marry Runar even if she gets back to the First, and why I don't think Wuk Lamat and Erenville will end up a couple.

Too many WoL/Erenville shippers out there already.

We have Many romance that are not in the MSq but are Young.
