Reclamation of Inactive Housing at 90 days

Since October 2015, the Reclamation of Inactive Housing has been in place to give as many people as possible a chance to obtain land.

I don't know the exact state of the lands on all the worlds but I have the impression that since other measures have been put in place (more lands, lottery, private sector / CL sector, etc. ), the housing crisis has eased.

So, I think it might be time to review the period by increasing it to 90 days instead of 45.

I don't know if you have the same feeling as me but I feel a bit held hostage with this threat of losing my house by taking a break of more than a month.

My cynical side tells me that the devs will never increase this deadline because it gives them more income... but my optimistic side wants to believe it ^^

SE doesn't give two flying fucks. The fear of losing a house is REAL across everyone who has one in this game. You have a better chance at winning the cactpot then you do at ever getting a house right now. People have been trying for YEARS. Enough salt in these forms and other sites to write a book and still growing. People would stay subbed no matter what but just as you said its all about the income which they know is guaranteed by those who own a house.

Probably should stick to speaking for yourself. Not everyone is a slave to FOMO.

I don't fear losing my 4 houses. If I can't play or get to the point I want a long break from the game, then so be it. It's just a game and what I earned in the past I can earn again. Better for those houses to be getting used by active players.

If people weren't so scared of losing things they're not using at all, housing would be better off. We'd still have people fighting over larges and mediums but no one would be worried about not having a house.

Honestly its not about not having a house...its about not having the house you want.

I mean hell Golem and such are still barren; though I suspect the farm FC's will be hitting them soon.

This is the basic truth of the situation now.

There are still some worlds so heavily congested that it's near impossible to get any house but that's not true of most worlds, even for NA. Getting a house is not a problem. Getting the house a player wants is and that will always be a problem with a ward system.

Except on Dynamis. The housing in the 4 new worlds was barely touched in the last lottery. You're probably not going to be able to get the Shiro 30/60, Mist 5/35 or LB 11/41 but just about everything else is up for grabs. Transfer this weekend and miss out on the worst of the NA login queues when Early Access starts.

That said its also part of the challenge to earn "that plot" as I still have 2 plots on my "to get" list but no luck yet - just keep hitting it and if we do get Another housing district in DT 2; then assuming the FF XIV population does not increase dramatically there should be a incredible amount of property...
