As said, Dawntrail isn't a fair vaction not everyone looks for comedy and a sunny glowy paradise, following the enforced hilly questline and no its not optional when you lock things like relic and certain dungeons and trails behind it. I am honestly not looking forward are feel any kind of excitement for dawntrail because Meteion and zenos are my kind of characters, there releatable and right (dark Meteion). The fact we get so much comedy already is annoying, its like gaint lie to the characters themselves. Regardless I find it highly unfair that we get so much comedy, that just auto deletes any darkness and depth.

Also If you are going to keep doing those dumb questlines "hildy" its only fair to add in a counteractive side questline that is just along perhaps something with a voidsent that has some actrual depth and relatability than just dumb worthless annoying comedy. The lack of any real work towards the void is honestly pathetic.

Its not a vaction in dawntrail its going to be like 3 months of annoying comedy that is honestly the worse kind of "vaction" no where near what I would consinder a vaction. What a vaction really is, is going into dark and spooky areas visiting things such as the void. and hanging out with characters like Zenos and dark Meteion, not spending time with annoying comedy hopeful bright characters.


In real life terms, a "vaction" is going to see Ann Rice or perhaps going to a haunted location or Salem not going to a bright and cheerfully annoying are.

You know we've basically triumphed over all the main evils, so not much left to be all dark and scary. Idk why I'm responding to this but this post is like seriously odd.

You had two full expansions of nothing but Zenos, an expansion focused on an abused woman seeking revenge, an expansion full of people coping with everlasting existential dread. You had an expansion in which religious ideologies nearly caused a millenia-old war to carry over to the entire continent, all while waging a war against a seemingly almighty Empire. Even Post-EW you had your "relatable" emo woman that needed four patches to learn what basic emotions are. I think you had your fair share of "relatable" gloomy moments.

... Might have treated the Void chapter as the summer vacation. Even swapped out the armor i've been using through HW-EW with more casual gear!

I feel they intentionally revealed more from Solution 9 just to appease the people dissatisfied with the "lighthearted vacation low stakes expansion" vibes that we got in the first FanFest.

I think the game would benefit greatly from the suprise effect, but I also understand the PR repercussions of keeping that under the veil.
