I think Mr Happy just avoids taking a stance on anything and says the most fence sitting stuff, I don't really blame him after all Zepla said she didn't like Endwalker and a massive chunk of her fanbase turned on her because of her opinion on the game. FFXIV fans are just way too protective of the game, probably because we were told it was a dead MMO for nearly 10 years so now everyone tries to argue nothing is wrong even if there is problems.

Clap clap clap, I think everyone is aware of it.
It's just abnormal that it continues, and they keep adding more and more healing as if it wasn't enough already.
They also buff some defensive cooldowns that drastically improve received healing, which also applies to their kit, making the warrior even worse than it already was.

Now one man does a media spotlight and suddenly we have people with tacked on principles? I must have missed a ton of you during Heavensward when alot of people got upset that had to dps as well as heal.

Honestly it kind of disgusts me your abusing the point of protest for what seems to me childish grandstanding. Dungeon party optimization was already a thing and you never cared and we main tanks loved being more self sufficient, especially us mentors who have to clutch and compensate. If this went beyond dungeons maybe i would humor a balance argument but to me this just seems to be another back and forth about how "casual" casual content should FORCE a set pace for EVERYONE because you feel left out. I took the people worrying Blue Mages would replace them more serious then this.

We have been complaining about this for years

Just because you won’t look at the healer forum doesn’t mean we haven’t been complaining and this does go beyond casual content, we are being replaced in high end content and forced further and further into 1 button spam

Your desire for “self sufficiency” shouldn’t come at the expense of our entire role

Healers are unhappy for years now. They voiced ther concerns. And waited paitiently for DT to see if they actually fixed something. They didn't. And the healer-less dungeon run on the media tour was just the proof of it.

Same here. It's hard to take what he says at face value after he hyped up EX3 so much and the "Myths of the Realm will be as challenging as Ivalice" statement.

I remember tanking as a War in ARR and HW, having your healer say you were easy to heal was an accomplishment. You were doing your job well. Doing damage, mitigating, lining up bloodbath and other heals in the right spots to take the edge off of things.

Now? It’s one button. I don’t mind self heals. I don’t mind it being something you worked hard at on every encounter for it to be useful alongside your mitigations and damage but this? This is not what I want. One and done button. I have nothing to work hard on and improve anymore and it’s boring and sad.i don’t believe anything will be done. They will either double down or just remove the trinity like what they have done in Bozja and Eureka. Flick a switch, you do more healing or dps or have more def to tank. Power to you all and if things go back to how they were? You’ll be hero’s but after so long I don’t feel optimistic.
