SE, "Seraphism" is appalling. This is not the fantasy that appeals to Scholar fans.

I like what the skill does, but a fan of the whole angel image. Why not have us transform into Titania or a new fairy?

I have mixed opinions on the skill itself, it kinda just fills the dissipation niche of stronger scholar healing burst. I mean most of the time in harder content you do sometimes actually use dissipation for what its meant to be used for instead of a 3 minute 300 potency OGCD attack. I haven't really mained scholar since SB so IDK if this fills something scholar was missing in its kit or not.

I think the worst part is if we were gonna get a healing summon, summoner got the cooler version. Seraph is a poor man's Selene we should have gotten phoenix if we had to get a Demi-Summon damn it!
Also I would go back in time and mind control the Devs to turn angel feathers into phoenix down instead. If we are gonna lose fairies I'd much prefer to be a flaming bird then a Korean mmo angel.

I dont mind the Trasformation as i am into Angelic Stuff i agree that its weird (especialy with them pushing White Mage into the Light instead of DD14 speficic Nature direction) to go to deep into Seraph instead of dabbling into other Support/Healing Summons.
Something like Unicorn, Kirin or considering Summoner doesnt really use it anymore Carnuncle, maybe in moonstone version.

Phoenix would make sense considering Alphinaud (who was an Arcanist and later SCH) and Alisaie's connection with it (and the ability they gained to summon it, which the writers seemed to forgot about and never used) and the fact that its the series premier healing summons.

I also thought about an upgraded Carbuncle-mode instead of Seraphism could have been cool and would make sense, seeing as Carbuncle is more known for place various protective effects (reflect, protect, shell, regen, etc.) through out the FF series. Something like a Rainbow Carbuncle that can use different Light skills for different effects.

People probably would be happy to have some sort of DPS variation for scholar but I doubt they'd stop complaining about how it looks because it just looks awful.

I'd probably be forced to use it even more, but that wouldn't make me like it.

We take Phoenix and Carbuncle and the Summoner gets Ramuh, Shiva and Leviathan. Sounds good, yes? ;P

The actual ability seems fine, it's just ugly as heck. People would still think it was ugly and complain about how ugly it is no matter what it did.

If the new Direction of Scholar is "The Seraph Healer" and they double down on that in the next expansion (i wouldnt be surprised) where it is suppose to be about class design and identity they probably give us more like that.
But i would say one could do with angelic aesthetic than just robes.
