I don’t think people are having problems with the WOL’s justifications to visit tural it’s more the problem associated with the fact that once we reach tural we will likely have no agency in regards to what actually happens in the succession crisis. For example it wuk lamat remains in the running it’s exceedingly likely we will just stick to wuk lamat. If she drops early and say throws in behind koana we willl likely be pigeonholed into also supporting koana
They have basically stuck us like glue to the least likable of the 3 “good” candidates and knowing the history of 14’s storytelling it’s not like they are going to give us an option to go to tural and then say “hey old wukky I actually like Koana more so imma support him” we are just gonna follow whoever wuk supports including herself
As a healer main in this game for nigh on 14 years all I can say is that I’m tired. My role has been eroded of complexity and expression for 3 expansions. I’ve watched the tanks do my role for me for 2 expansions and my feedback and critiques continue to fall on deaf ears.
I have no idea who modern healers are designed for but I know now it’s not me. This is the first expansion I’m truly considering dropping the healer role and not returning, so if that was the goal- congratulations I guess

Yes thank you
The point here is we’ve never been presented a “choice” like this before where from the pure it doesn’t look like a lot of people want to support. In a way I feel like they have set this up in the wrong way. I shouldn’t be wanting to go into DT wanting to support Koana but that’s what’s currently happening
False choice lack of agency is more annoying than just being railroaded

Exactly. We should be given a choice. What if we don’t agree with her? Alot of people on this forum complained about being forced to be other characters for msq. Wheres that energy when being forced into a choice your character wouldnt agree with?
Som people wont agree because they like the new furry girls and are anti-miqote. *shrug*

I support Krile....if Krile supports her I will back my ally.

XIV's writers think the definition of Adventurer is "superheroes of justice who fight crime and corruption".
This would have been way better than whatever crap they have in store. The childish premise they have is one of the most naive in XIV history. Would be great for the Scions to get a punch in the gut for poor judgement of something so serious for once.I'm half expecting Wuk Lamat to turn out to be a villain.
She wins the whatever tournament with our help and becomes Dawnservant. Her first actions are horribly short sighted, tyrannical, and cause lots of misery, everyone in the new world hates her and we specifically get dumped on because we were the ones who helped her win. Every former Scion conveniently on the continent collectively goes "hey stop", Wuk Lamat says "shut up dad I'm important now" and brands us enemies. Bloody Banquet 2.0 except it's mid-expansion and it's a bunch of Hrothgar and Mamool Ja instead of Lalafells.
They should hire me to be a writer
Anyway what will end up happening: The succession war will be a wet fart with no real conclusion, instead all 3 will rule Tural as some kind of council so they can use their respective strengths to cover each other's weakness in the political duties. This outcome may or may not happen in 7.0 instead of 7.3.
