There are plenty of people who find that level of difficulty to be just fine and have a perfectly good time with the game. Maybe you only find enjoyment in content that gives you a challenge- unfortunately, that means most normal-level content will never be fun to you. They provide optional higher-difficulty content to meet the needs of such players instead, hence the "do harder content" suggestion. If your complaint is that overall content design is boring, rather than the fact that easy content leaves healers specifically with less to do, that's an entirely different conversation.

This game is not tailor-made to suit any one person's tastes- it is a product that is designed to appeal to as many people as possible, and the best way to do that is to keep the skill floor low in required content and provide optional harder content for players that want to go above and beyond. It's unfortunate for you that that makes you dislike the required content, but I don't foresee it changing.
Why is the answer not “low skill floors and high skill ceilings” rather than “skill ceiling is on the skill floor but you can choose to do it in higher difficulty content”

Genuinely please read even a single complaint we have been giving because “I want to be a cure bot in dungeons” is about the farthest thing from what we want

As a healer main in this game for nigh on 14 years all I can say is that I’m tired. My role has been eroded of complexity and expression for 3 expansions. I’ve watched the tanks do my role for me for 2 expansions and my feedback and critiques continue to fall on deaf ears.

I have no idea who modern healers are designed for but I know now it’s not me. This is the first expansion I’m truly considering dropping the healer role and not returning, so if that was the goal- congratulations I guess

I won't argue that the skill ceiling is very low for healers in normal content. But that, again, is why the recurring suggestion to people complaining about healers being boring is to try harder content. The more damage the party takes, the more room the healers have to take different approaches towards optimizing how they're using their kit, and the higher the skill ceiling becomes. Claiming that the skill ceiling is on the floor regardless of content difficulty seems a bit disingenuous.

Because the high end content problem is instead the more you optimise the more boring the content becomes. My reward for doing a super detailed mit plan with my co healer and organising our CD’s for more damage is…….more broil spam

It’s two seperate problems and we have a problem with both

I mean, content becoming more boring with repetition and optimization is true for all jobs. That's just a function of the fact that FFXIV fights are entirely scripted. I don't disagree that it's more of an issue on healer and doing DPS could be a bit more engaging, but insisting that healers are all boring and awful because long stretches of just doing DPS is boring is willfully ignoring, y'know, the whole "healing" thing. In my opinion, the fun of healing is in that mit plan creation and CD optimization you mentioned- that aspect of healing remains, it just unfortunately isn't all that applicable in normal content.
