If they wanted toxicon to be dps neutral It should have double the potency of dosis

I agree with the premise but not the point. We saw with things like HW Lilies, Afflatus Misery, Dia, Undraw, Dissipation, Energy Drain, etc, before that they consistently overlook healer kit interactions. They don’t necessarily “want” to keep healer skills DPS neutral because they don’t necessarily care, see the issue, or much less view the issue as significant concerning the healer’s opportunity loss, mechanical gameplay or throughput. There’s no argumentative reason for Toxikon to be a loss when we understand how it engages with the kit mechanically—it just is a loss because—and when we have reconciled how it is nonsensical and unfair seeing that Misery suffered from the same exact issue which was fixed in or by the next expansion. Well, for Toxikon, DT is the next expansion so it should probably get fixed now. The only reason I can fathom it may not be getting fixed is that SGEs do not seem to have made as big a stink about it as WHMs did.

I feel like just making most healing tools dps neutral is a design choice they could move towards though. Their design priorities seem to be balance and lowering the skill ceiling and raising the floor. If everything was neutral than they'd be accomplishing both.
Do I really want that? ehhh, idk.
Who cares what button you press? It’s all the same. Give your controller over to your toddler while you make diner and get your roulettes done at the same time!I feel like just making most healing tools dps neutral is a design choice they could move towards though. Isn't that what healers do now?
I don't main SGE (only play it on occassion on 3 different alts) but for my feedback:
- Yay to E. Dykrasia being its own DoT and stackable with E. Dosis. Keep that please.
- Yay to AOE Kardia.
- Nay to E. Dykrasia being 30s too. I'd like to see that drop to 20s or something for better engagement.
- Nay to AOE Kardia once every 3min and nay to it being so late in the kit. I'd like to see it moved down (not sure what level) and perhaps have it be on a recast timer of 1min?
- Wish for Phlegma's recast timer to be reduced to 20s. (no idea how I thought it was already, but its not and I'd like it to be)
- Wish for Addersting to have other forms of generation. It just being GCD shield only is a waste. In the early days of EW I thought it'd be neat if (Pan)Haima could trigger it (dumb idea I'm sure but I did think it; and yes, every break of the five shields would have given you one sting... like I said, dumb idea but it was a random floating thought lmao)
- Wish for Pepsis to be useful. I'd like it to be SGE's answer to burst healing, eating their own shields to heal the party, but I don't see that happening.
I'm tired of being told to wait for post-patches and expansions for fixes and increased healing requirements that are never coming. Healers are not fun in all forms of content like all jobs should be, they're replaced by tanks and dps due to low healing requirements and their dps kit is small for 0 reason, when in the past we had more options and handled things just fine. I refuse to play healer in roulette come DT. I refuse to heal EXs, I refuse to go into Savage, and I am boycotting Ultimate.

It is actually useful, just only in lower level content where you're more likely to end up using GCD heals. If it could just interact with some other stuff, Kerachole maybe, it'd retain its relevance outside of the 60s and early 70s at least to some extent. Given how scripted damage is, being able to end the mitigation early to just top people off a bit would be quite nice rather than just have it sit there pointlessly.
It's also pretty practical for Trios with uneven damage since it allows you to reset all shields and reapply a consistent shield timer on everyone before you exit the trio.It is actually useful, just only in lower level content where you're more likely to end up using GCD heals. They just need to fix this holistically. If i reshield and the pre-existing shield has 5 seconds left, the timer should go back to 30. Even if it's smaller.
