    While enabling a follow up attack isn't all that bad design wise, it's the fact that almost all of the jobs got the exact same upgrade gimmick at once...
    and those 2 minute buttons take you 5seconds to press, leaving you empty for the rest of the 2min window.

    At this point I'm convinced they just love to watch netflix after they faceroll on their keyboard pressing all the buttons on the 20s burst window

    I just find it funny in the 1.0 documentary that Yoshi P said he was shocked that there weren't any of the staple FF jobs and now he's effectively gotten rid of them himself with his design choices

    That is exactly the point. SE really means it when they say job identity will be coming in 8.0

    (and we'll all conveniently forget about that when 8.0 comes and people start making excuses about how it will come in 9.0)

    What's even the point of having a gap closer when it will always be available when you need it anyways?
    Like, any time we're going to see any sort of knockback or short melee downtime mechanic it's going to be invalidated by the gapcloser just arbitrarily *always* being available, as it serves no other purpose.
    You at least plan them out in encounter by encounter right now, but what's the point if it's always there?
    I'd rather have no gapcloser so i have to be a little bit more creative in maintaining maximum uptime through positioning and popping sprint. If EW fight design continues into DT, you might actually be better off not even keybinding it.
    Why do people want this? It just takes away even more of what little gameplay friction this game has.

    I mean, don't you all want to sweat your eyes off in ultimate raids to the last possible second? Impossible to design with more complex job rotations/mechanics.

    Meanwhile GW2's necromancer can apply like 10 debuffs and dots without a set rotation; all based on what you want to do.

    I know it's too harsh for me to say this but i hope there will be a backlash so great that they will be forced to backtrack all of these horrible decisions.

    most of these are premade button consolidations (that you can unseperate) , its be the same as adding a button you use during your dmg up phase anyways, unless you want gnb to need two extra hotbars you crazy person

    Ouch; still would've liked Green mage more than picto.
    green mage isnt a "staple" job, green magic wasnt a thing till ff12, and even then most green magic spells were just classically the buff/debuff spells from white magic
