Did they really? Then... yikes lmao. Never knew that was a thing over there. You mean like they already have with Ysayle and ShB Alphinaud's outfits (undyeable variants of existing gear)? That aside though, the Korean version's online store does actually sell All Classes replicas of level 70/80 DoH/L AF gear which is... scummy as hell, but it's there
"Outside obvious jokes/sarcasm, I aim to convey my words to the future readers who may come across mine posts. Can I change -your- mind, somehow? Potentially... but that's not why I'm writing. You and I have wrote our piece(s). We don't necessarily need to change each other's mind. But we can change other's."
Yeah, they do. They also sell oddities like level 1 AF sets and the Legacy Chocobo mount. This is for a good reason though - game time in South Korea is indirectly timed due to internet access being strictly metered (most game players don't even play at home but play online games at specialist gaming lounges/cafes which have more acceptable rates), so players simply do not have the time to spare grinding classes and Jobs to use said gear normaly (and the Legacy Campaign was never available in South Korea because 1.0 was never available there explaining the Legacy Chocobo mount for sale), so they became available for purchase to compensate.
To be fair, the South Korean and Chinese versions of the game are actually run under license to SE by third party companies (who are also responsible for their individual Online Stores and the items they sell on them), so it has no connection to the JP/NA/EU/AU/Rest of World version.
You say that, but... they do seem to actually have to have leveled the Jobs in order to use the Glams, from what I could tell (thanks, Google translate). It's bizarre all around...This is for a good reason though - game time in South Korea is indirectly timed due to internet access being strictly metered (most game players don't even play at home but play online games at specialist gaming lounges/cafes which have more acceptable rates), so players simply do not have the time to spare grinding classes and Jobs to use said gear normaly (and the Legacy Campaign was never available in South Korea because 1.0 was never available there explaining the Legacy Chocobo mount for sale), so they became available for purchase to compensate.
There is this level 70 crafter and gatherer sets that would fit a SAM glam perfectly but I can't use them because they are locked to DoH/DoL. Please remove class/gender requirements from glamour.
Don't let the dozens of benchmark posts drown out this. Please let us glamour freely!
And remember to like the original post since they apparently take that into consideration
bump, I know we’re all about the benchmark now but we can pray for an announcement this June 14th
Would help free up space in the glamour dresser too. Eg: The Type-51 boots are identical between the 7 sets, yet occupy 7 slots in my dresser due to glamour role restrictions.
What really bugs me though, are the Crafting/Gathering unique job outfits.
They've recently added images to the Dawntrail promotional website, but I can't get excited about them because they're simply not practical to use.
Any serious crafter/gatherer will be using the crafted gear for overmelding purposes, so we won't be equipping them directly.
While I could glamour plate them, that's 11 outfits filling the 20 limited plates available, personally all of which are already filled for combat jobs.
Not to mention 55 slots in the dresser (though arguably you can put them in, make the plate, then take them out again).
So instead of being excited, I'm looking at these 11 unique outfits the development team spent unknown man-hours modeling and texturing etc, and thinking, what a damn waste.
Consider how few truly unique outfits we get in an expansion (outside the mogstation), and 11 are pretty much going straight in the trash due to glamour restrictions.
Honestly NO, it kills out the fantasy between types if everyone can be the same thing, instend just great bulk armor rangers casters etc they kinda exist in some final fantasy crossbow+heavy armor. SO no bad enough every job is exacly the same within role type no giving others a glamour ment for that type period THERE NEEDS TO BE THINGS THAT OTHERS DONT GET WITHIN A JOB type
