Didn't think I'd be back here twice within 24 hours, but I'm getting tired of seeing this.
I know it's Mogtome event. I know the Ivalice raids are part of it. People are farming it for tomes and the chance to get out of constantly getting CT day in and day out. I also know real life happens, I get it.
What I don't get, is when you claim you've got rl things going on since the start of the raid after I call you out when the second boss of Radda-Radda lighthouse is dead when EVERYONE IN THE ENTIRE ALLIANCE SAW YOU JUST AUTORUN INTO A CORNER THAT HAD BOTH DASHES GOING INTO IT, say you've got it sorted, and then continue to do almost absolutely nothing the rest of the raid. Even the forbidden number monkey literally said you were doing a couple actions per boss, and then just running headlong constantly eating death or standing around auto-attacking/autorunning.
What made this worse is that they refused to roll on loot, but by golly gee did they hit that chest right as each boss died. Even me having the kick menu up to vote dismiss the SAM was cockatrice-blocked by said SAM.
After the 14th death from this SAM that decided to get carried, you bet your butt I left them on the floor.
If you have RL stuff happening, you have the opportunity to *GASP* LEAVE THE RAID TO TAKE CARE OF IT. Real life stuff is more important than playing a game with other people and sandbagging them by not contributing to the fight. Their splendid lack of contribution because of this made the Lighthouse bosses take longer and lead to far more deaths and caused undue stress on us healers trying to keep people upright. Though partial contribution to this was people were new to the raid, but at least THEY (those 4 people) were actively participating in the run.
To that specific lalafell SAM, step on a lego.
This one is beyond your help. Only sleep can save her now.
I've constantly seen people complain about boosters, and tbh I hadn't really believed them as being the cause of some of the exceptionally low skilled players. From about mid SB to about mid-January of this year I had routinely run most roulettes most days of the week, and the Cure spammers or low dps players always seemed to be longtime or legacy players. Decide to do a few roulettes today for the heck of it. While many don't care for 5/6/7/8 roulette, I LOVE it. I really enjoy so many of the optional endgame dungeons that you don't often see anymore. Queue up for 5/6/7/8 as a dps and get the Twinning. Lovely, genuinely.
WAR tank lets everyone know they are "new" to tanking. I check their gear quick on the load in, full Cryptlurker including double rings, only WAR at lvl 80 other than a couple of low lvl classes. Ok, whatevs. Most likely boosted, but that's fine. So it won't be super swift, prolly a bit janky from pull to pull, but otherwise should be fine. 1st pull/forced single pull. I have agro on the entire pack other than a single mob. Healer somehow keeps me alive throughout. I ask the tank to use their AoE move. Tank doesn't know what their AoE button is and demands me tell him what it is instead of having spent 5 seconds before the dungeon to even glance at their spells. Tell them it anyways and have to ask them to use their AoE combo as well. Tank still does not use AoE throughout the entire dungeon despite numerous prompts. At times lets the entire party wipe during trash. Tank gets hostile, puts words in my mouth of things I neither said nor implied, demands to be kicked while also refusing to take agro during trash pulls, but also doesn't leave on their own accord. Tank continually tells the party he is using Overpower, and yet I and the other DPS continually have agro on the entirety of the trash packs. Twinning takes 29m to complete, which if someone was super new but also actually asking questions or taking advice well, wouldn't be a bother. But I haven't had someone get so overtly hostile and also not understand the absolute basics of the game in like 3-4 years. I'm sad because 5/6/7/8 roulette is my favorite roulette, but I don't think I'll be running it again until after DT drops.
Leveling from 70-90 on a few jobs and nobody has sprint bound anymore? A couple of people still use it of course, but the majority actually aren't sprinting. It's kinda rough.

I use it, but this isn't a necessity. Sprint may spare you like... 1 min in a dungeon ? 2, maybe ? Nothing to cry about.
Oddly enough 5/6/7/8 usually ends up being my most scuffed roulette even during an expansion's peak so I end up just avoiding it unless I really want poetics.

Not the worst story, but...was on my Samurai and the other DPS was a Dancer. Noticed naturally he wasn't dancing.
I know from the forums I'm just supposed to be quiet but only managed until we finished the first boss. I just said "Dance Partner?" He eventually at least partnered....but with the Tank. I just said "Well whatever better than nothing." Healer laughed. And that was about it.
I still just don't understand some people at times lol.

Not to mention, it's just free pace added to the dungeon runs. It feels like people don't respect each others' time when they don't sprint. I agree that it's nothing to cry about, but it is annoying and a dead giveaway that the players are noobs.

If your time really depends on the two minutes you gain from sprinting, maybe doing a dungeon was a bad idea. I love people who go fast, but it's just ridiculous to claim that "people don't ‘respect my time’ because of a sprint".
+ for the mitigation, meh. Sure, I guess. But it's absolutely not mandatory for a pull.
