hmmmm ok let me correct myself. actually its not about winning an argument, more like the arguments we had and how it ended proved that your argument to defend the devs decision is not strong enough, and none is strong enough so far. all of them can easily be refuted. not your fault though, its hard to defend something bad after all.
anyway yea move along now.
It ended by you saying "lots of people want it, we should get it to avoid backlash." in other words, you're going to keep throwing a fit until you get what you want(maybe never). Good argument.hmmmm ok let me correct myself. actually its not about winning an argument, more like the arguments we had and how it ended proved that your argument to defend the devs decision is not strong enough, and none is strong enough so far. all of them can easily be refuted. not your fault though, its hard to defend something bad after all.

Then the Ramuh, Levi, and Shiva assets from ARR would give them plenty of leeway to add those too. Those are direct asset recycles of primals from ARR lol. Solar bahamut is brand new just like phoenix was when it was added. I had this idea in another thread though, that going forward they could add a unique set of three eikons for each demi summon's followup. Right now bahamut phoenix and solar bahamut all unlock the same 3 ifrit garuda and titan. Going forward from 8.0 that would potentially mean adding 3-6 new eikons to really lean heavily into the summoner job fantasy.
no it ended with you misinterpreting my point, either because you know Im right but youre too prideful to say "ok, fair. you're right.", or because youre actually dumb.
which one is it? (rhetorical question btw, no need to answer)

Comparing ffvii summons to mmo rotations is apples to oranges. We'll start out with regular bahamut, do an eikon phase, get fired up with phoenix, do another eikon phase, and then we enter solar bahamut for the climax of the rotation. Then another eikon phase and the loop starts over with regular bahamut. It's more exciting this way. If it was just a trait upgrade, the job would play the same with newer animations and higher potency.
Personally I don't get the disappointment, but to each their own. Everyone wants different stuff and you can only get one outcome.
Judging from the job trailer, even with the 3rd demi, the job will play exactly the same except we get to press the new Searing Light follow-up action every 2 minutes (replacing Ruin 3 presumably)
I'm kinda disappointed too for the SMN. An another Bahamut could have been something else. Odin and Alexander are Optionnal bosses so it's understandable why we will probably never got those, but Leviathan, Ramuh and Shiva are mandatory bosses, that's why most people think we should get them at some point which actually make sense.
The devs are designing SMN like a healer at this point
What is this obsession with “press an oGCD after your raid buff you press once every 2 minutes”
I’m m not a particular fan of the shiva/levi/ramuh idea because they have totally failed to make the current primals interesting but that’s still a damn sight better than giving it the healer treatment
not only in terms of visual, shiva/levi/ramuh can definitely be used to improve the currently lacking depth of SMN gameplay and fix the job. (here's an example)
