As a mentor you are generally going to stick out more if you are making mistakes. I think it's good to keep in mind that most people may have high expectations of you because of that if you're wanting to become a mentor.

But In general I also think it goes both ways... sometimes people think mentors can just remember everything about every single instance, which is something I can't do after 7000+ hours of the game, Sometimes they're going to make mistakes too and that's fine, aslong as they know the game pretty well and will try to help new players who ask, I think they're doing a decent job.

True. I enjoy that aspect of it. I suppose it's a bit like playing a BLM where you can easily lose your stacks. It makes the consequence a bit more if you mess up.

I aim to do exactly that and mostly I do. But rarely I only vaguely remember something, or I've just lost the sense of timing for it and need a pull or few to get it back again. Especially when it's an old savage fight. I can regain all my old habits but it takes some pulls to get them back and dig them out of my memory.

But I know I'm an extreme minority here and probably any other mentor wouldn't remember half of what I do. There are just an awful lot of fights in the game that even mentors that play a lot probably just don't remember, or, didn't play when it was current content and never understood the mechanics.
