Gil is worthless.

I don’t think there is a solution cause you can bring out like another 20 Gil sink mounts or other means to dump currency and for what? You’ll get to the same outcome eventually. Final Fantasy across the board Gil becomes meaningless after a short while. Just like potions etc in 14 like what’s there point after the first like 20 levels. I’m not really sure what can be done to address it because people with 100s of million will still buy it all up and be back to the same problem.

i believe in wow that gold is extremely valuable and when i played runescape getting your first mil was an insane achievement. the reason it works in osrs is because everything costs GP and nothing gives any. making it a legitimately scarce commodity of extreme value. and tbh id argue that bonds and gold farmers didnt really impact this because its still really hard to accumulate any early on. runescape is also really clever in how it uses new items and gold together. for example when i stopped playing, the BIS for a ranger wasa toxic blowpipe, to beat zulrah and get 1 of these, you needed to be super high level, or.. buy a blowpipe. this made zulrah both killable with and without gold. also, even if you killed it, the blow pipe required fangs, and those didnt come cheap either. because zulrahs blowpipe was in high circulation, the majority of players purchased it, and the fangs were rarely in circulation.driving the value of the pipe up enormously.
