    Looking at SCH’s rotation. It’ll just be a single or double weave so nothing really changed with chain’s follow-up ability. I don’t see it as a bad design since it’s on a 2 min cooldown. I see it as the solution ppl are asking for. To give healers a form of a combo in their toolkit.

    You missed the point you don’t press chain in trash mobs, it just isn’t worth it unless you can guarantee it’s up for the boss (which in general modern pulls are so fast if the healer is somewhat competent that it won’t)

    So either you burn chain to get the DOT and waste chain, or you don’t burn chain and don’t get the DOT, either way it’s a garbage decision because you shouldn’t be burning a CD as strong as chain on trash just to get a non interactive AOE dot

    It’s not a combo it’s just a pointless damage skill locked behind a massive CD that doesn’t justify it

    I do agree with the premise of the OP, skills locked behind other abilities are ten times less interesting than skills locked behind resources that you manage.

    Now that WHM got Inner Release... why not add that Beast Gauge as well so we can build it up (maybe even with healing *gasp*) and use that new attack a bit more often?

    Well I would love to have something more original as well, but it is what it is...

    If people use their 2min burst on the first pack, which is most common in my experience, then it doesn't matter if u you chain on a single mob, as it will be aligned with the other burst for the boss anyway.
    If you don't use it, you might end up using it too early on the boss, having it misaligned with the rest of the 2 mins, making it useless anyway

    We still dont know if those skills get a CD reduction, right? Guess we have to wait for the first posts of the media tour, that should be happening.. Also still no job page, but eventually. But anyway, I agree with the posts. A dps skill on a 2min timer feels underwhelming. Guess, they really don't design jobs for casual content anymore. It's all about 2min meta in savage/ultimates now, lol.

    It has never been for the casuals. Casuals don’t give a F what do they press. It’s the player who’s aware that there’s a thing that’s called ‘optimization’ but then bangs their head, scream and yell when their old ways of playing wouldn’t suffice to reach that point. Rather than climbing the mountain, they’d rather bulldoze the mountain down to get to the ‘peak’.

    Getting to hit one extra offensive button every two minutes is...not what I was hoping for.

    SGE was at least lucky enough to get an AoE DoT for dungeon trash but it's unlikely it'll be of any use on single targets given the modern philosophy on AoEs generally not being a DPS gain on less then three targets.

    This is pretty much years of feedback and observation. It isn’t the fault of the devs. They just saw, “hey the community is proving all their buffs at the start and redo it after this time and that time. Just add a 2 min window.” Nothing is changed, it just now not as convoluted with 40secs, 90secs, 180secs of buffs. It sounds good to hear that devs don’t know how to design abilities. If the community were to do it, this game would go out of service.
