The problem I have is how they make range stacking so easy for a lot of the fights. They need to make it so no one can stand in the same spot for the whole fight like you can now in Chimera.

I'd like to see them be more creative with incapacitating bosses. They had a great opportunity with Chimera, but the fact that you can just have ranged jobs sit in one spot the whole fight pretty much killed it. Also, some boss fights with multiple stages would be cool. One stage being strong against magic, another stage being more AoE focused, etc.

Hopefully the new battle regimen will also be designed to favor having different jobs in the group.
