Strange... I remember reading some posts on how some people want mp regen Tied to ice Spell casts

Strange...this is the most recent BLM Thread I can remember that I posted in...and no one asked for mana regen to be tied to ice spells.
https://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/...-Mage-too-much
And the posts that did comment meaningfully on the rotation, did not gain traction. The most popular post literally says "I don't expect major changes".
Most requests were:
- Do something with Lightning
- Do something with Leylines
- Do better animations (me lol)
- Do a burst action
I was watching a stream for the live letter and also reviewed some reddit comments and I have a pretty good idea of who actually drove this feedback and surprise, it's not BLM players.

Of course they do, OF COURSE THEY DO.
They probably don't even know how simple it is to get into BLM.

Ehh... ill wait and see, as much as folks love to doom and gloom things, this trailer still doesnt show the big picture. Only during combat, only during enoc, does soul give mp too? Still dumno the deets...
I am willing to say I won't know how this works out until I spend some time at a training dummy working with it. Now we just can't know for certain.

I don't like this change. I like blm being the only job with a flex rotation.
They want to streamline everything.
EW blm was perfect in every way
I agree, I think it's enough to use Blizzard III + Blizzard IV + (Thunder III or Xenoglossy) to let MP regen to full. So I can't understand how this will "streamline" the operation of BLM.
Of course, a lot of information is not yet known, so it cannot be determined, but with the current information release, I think it is very pessimistic, what it says in this release is that the developers do not want to "let you play" the game, but "teach you how to play". I think it's very pessimistic.
I also had a similar post in the JP side's job threads, hope everybody can attend to discuss this change.

Basically if you cast fire iv a new guage fills, then after filling 6 of those, it enables you with a finisher at the end of your fire cycle.
This means it's mandatory to cast 6 fire IVs each cycle. We can't use transpose lines to adapt to boss mechanics. The downside of it will be more (depending on the potency of the new attack/ and if it's an instant cast or no).
This might favour spell speed builds maybe slightly more (a slight positive) but punish slow spell speed cit based builds, which might not be able to fit 6 fire IVs.
The flexibility is what makes every blm have their style and their own favourite transpose lines to fit in different situations.
Which is unique to a ff14 job.
