Yeah I'd like a Duty support for
- My Retainer
- My Guildhest
- My Fates
- My Island Sanctuary
- My Gold Saucer lottery
- My FC daily turn ins
- My Fishing something something
That sounds like so much more fun, so much wow, mhm...

1 - Spoilers. On playing endwalker I had the plot spoiled to me while playing the first trial by someone who thought it was funny, if I could play the story solo I wouldn't have to worry about this.
2 - Population. Certain Data Centers are entirely underpopulated and gettting duties compelted is impossible in off times on patches. I have had times where I sit for 2+ hours in DF waiting for a normal mode trial to pop. 3+ hours for alliance raids to pop, etc. If it's required for the story it should be soloable full stop, to prevent people from getting hard stuck from a lack of players to fill out the party.
3 - Can take your time to learn. The Duty Support in dungeons are great, you can take your time, explore the areas, learn at your own pace. Other players on their roulettes will try to flame you and rush you through asap to get their tomes and that feels terrible when it's your first time and you're doing the story. I still remember how much I hated Praetorium because I did it as a sprout and the entire instance was people running past the enemies to trigger a cutscene and then whining for 45 minutes about how they hated this duty. Thanks SE, real climactic ending to ARR to have a guy in a pig suit whining about how much of a burden it is he got this in his mentor roulette and has to play with me the entire duty.

I think the easier fix is for all of this to be added to the Main Scenario roulette, or to create an additional roulette with MSQ-related content. Right now, too much is lumped in together.
I mean obviously if something isn't fun in the first place duty support wouldn't improve it in any way. zero * something is still zero.

I agree with making trusts for trials that are required to progress the MSQ. I remember being so into the story during Heavensward and thinking "wow this is great", seeing the part right before The Final Steps of Faith trial and enjoying the music, ready to face this boss in an epic battle... until it got awkward and the music started to annoy me because I was sitting there waiting for about 15-20 minutes, and it totally killed the mood.

In regards to #3, when Barby came out I was off that day and did that trial all of about 6 hours after it had dropped and people were already putting up doritos and expecting people to follow their instructions. THAT is the environment that I would love to avoid with Duty Support trials. Even on day one we aren't allowed to run anything blind.1 - Spoilers. Yeah Alliance raids are annoying as well. Day 1 of Thaleia and Euphrosyne people were already doing doritos and posting strats in chat. I eventually just created a macro to clear markers and doritos and just spammed that before every pull to cope with it because it's insufferable to backseat to that degree on day 1.In regards to #3, when Barby came out I was off that day and did that trial all of about 6 hours after it had dropped and people were already putting up doritos and expecting people to follow their instructions. Always do duties solo first if you can, avoids the headache of people trying to backseat you or get you to read guides first.

I am not against it. I use duty support for the first run when its available so I can enjoy the story and npc convos instead of having to rush because someone wants to be done with it asap. However, I wouldn’t want them to use that as an excuse to further dumb down trials. There us no challenge left at all in normal mode and it’s a bit sad.
I agree. I'd prefer an easy solution vs burdening CS3 with another long and arduous task.
The game is also in the latter part of its life cycle, no reason to perpetuate year long + resource intensive initiatives imo. I'd rather the team focus on content and fun combat/jobs at this point.

Set up a PF and then go to every major city and shout...
Hello! I've set up a PF for Endsinger, which I need to finish my story! Any help appreciated!
It works. That's how my sister and I got a quick queue for her fiancé at like 3AM when he was finishing 6.0
You'd be surprised at how much people are just happy to help.
Adding NPCs to Trials would make it even harder to get a player queue. It's an MMO, just ask for help.
