You restart from 50 iirc. Unless you're queueing for it, it's rare to see people queue for higher level floors. But who knows.

This is only true for floors 101+
Floor 51-100 work the same way as 1-50 with the caveats that you can start a new save at 51 and if you wipe you can't enter floor 101+ on that save. But if you were to wipe on floor 93, for example, you can try again from 91 if you're only trying to get to 100.
As for people not queuing for higher floors, I think the idea is that this will encourage them to.

Really...I thought that only applied if you were solo queueing for it in DF? And if you wipe as a group/premade your save is pretty much toast?
