If someone is new and wants to read wall inscriptions or something I got no problem with that.
But if you’ve hit level 50 content, you best be ready to zoom. Most are going to be way overgeared for it.

... And you definitely don't realize the number of players who stop for a while, and start again having forgotten everything.
As someone who usually runs roulettes as a white mage, I understand how you feel.
So for a WHM:
Run right next to your tank - hit your Sprint when they do.
Pop that Regen on them either BEFORE they pull (so the first tick hits before they hit a mob) or right AFTER they pull (so they've got enmity before the first tick hits). Regen ticks do not cause any threat. However, throwing Regen at the same time as your tank hits a mob can generate threat on you, like any heal can. (Usually only one hit, so if you mistime Regen, just be prepared for that.)
If you're in level 66 and higher content, throw Divine Benison on your tank as they enter that second group of mobs. Or Aquaveil if content's high enough.
Hit Holy right after that, once. (in content over level 45 - do your job quest!)
Then immediately hit Assize.
Start putting your DoT on mobs and watch your tank's health.
I usually cast Cure II when they hit 2/3 health-ish, to be sure it's not too late - til I know how the tank will use mits and how quick they lose health.
Then you'll be alternating Holy with tank heals as required. On that first pull you won't have Lilies banked yet, but use those as you get them on your tank.
Renew Divine Benison and Regen when they run out.
Benediction as a last resort/mits all gone/mobs still up.
You can do it. Be fearless and bold!
