It was a mistake tying 2 jobs into 1, which they admit…kinda?, yet I don’t see them redoing the 2 jobs. I try not to have that mindset where the job isn’t fun…for me.
On the contrary, they could have pulled it perfectly fine. They should have stuck to their original design and built around it.
The base Arcanist class should have been delegated as the pet job. They said that they don't know how to expand it... to which i reply wih it doesn't need to be expanded. The entire pet mechanics should be complete at level 30. SMN amd SCH shouldbhave taken advantage of having a pet. They should have kept Carbuncle as the "filler" pet.

- Seraphism is BAD.
- Give us back Shadowflare and make Deployment/Emergency Tactics affect Biolysis
- Give us back Rouse
- Make pet management rewarding.
Regarding the fairy gauge, I too think it feels forced. They should make the fairy a better healer and just make it a floating heal-over-time bot b/c that's essentially what they've turned it into anyway. Give the SCH more shields, give us dual dots /w an AE spread, and give us a giant AE heal /w a global cooldown for shtf moments. I'd be happy with those changes.
How can you physically give SCH more shields
It already has both the single strongest shield in the game with critlo and the strongest healer CD in the game that has shields with seraph
It also has the most mitigation in the game with 3 AOE and 1 single target
I physically cannot imagine how you can add any more healing at all to SCH let alone shields
SCH no longer needs any spell or ability that does direct healing. We are already in that part of the game's life cycle that the only logical improvement they can give, other than potency increases (which adds up to the power creep, btw) is to make intricate interactions with its current action set.
I could see more abilities akin to the Tactics oGCDs of SCH, instead of having Additional Effect bloat, it would temporarily change the properties of their spells. Also, speaking only for SCH, incorporate pet management back since the fairy before the removal of its HP bar was a resource that you have to manage. Giving it an offensive ability serving as an alternative to Embrace would be ideal to delve into the DPS roots of the job. Another is the removal of Summon Seraph, replacing it with Rouse and reworking of the Fey Gauge to only show the state of the Fairy.. much like how tank gauge shows if they have tank stance on or off.
I mean, even Physick can be gutted out and then improve Embrace's potency and allowing it to be placed in our hotbars. Then nothing of value is lost but a lot to gain.
Another ability that can be pruned out is Fey Blessing. It's effect can be added to Whispering Dawn
Edit.. another ability i thought off while sipping coffee is an ability that when used with Adlo or Succor it will only give a more potent Galvanize worth 700p (adlo) and 400p (succor) that doesn't heal and crit. This serves as a better spreadlo and save the critlo to the tank all while giving succor some love. Just in case, this ability will have a higher priority than Recitation should both buffs are used and Adlo/succor is casted

Then don't add more shields, but for the love of fun give us back our 4.0 dps rotation. This spammy, shallow job sucks.
SCH shields are right now the strongest in the game. All they can do is buff the % received via trait. They’ll most likely buff the heal potency slightly for the fairy…that’s it. Dual dot is never going to happen. Biolysis 2 probably. If they want to, the upgraded single target DoT will be AoE…..for all healers..SCH having a big AoE heal? They could, at the expense of the fairy gauge. I wouldn’t have an issue with that.Regarding the fairy gauge, I too think it feels forced. Where are you using another big AOE healing on SCH, it’s niche that doesn’t remotely existSCH shields are right now the strongest in the game. All they can do is buff the % received via trait. Oh please put the fairy gauge out of its misery alreadySCH shields are right now the strongest in the game. All they can do is buff the % received via trait.
