I know many fans of the saga who don't play or don't pay a subscription because of the language barrier. Yoshi-P, S-E, please also support Spanish in FFXIV.![]()

Maybe your friend should’ve spent some time in school to learned English like rest of the western world.
It's kinda weird that we still don't have an official localization for one of Square Enix's biggest games in their catalog.
Asking for dub seems too much, but even if the release is text-only it would be really nice to finally see our favorite game translated into Spanish.
Really low chance it happens, but it would really open the game a lot for our community.
Dale, Yoshi-P.
I've always wondered why this game doesn't have an official Spanish translation with just how many Spanish speakers there are in the world. There's more native Spanish speakers than English speakers worldwide, after all. It seems odd to ignore such a huge demographic.
Spanish is the 2nd most natively spoken language globally and English is the 3rd so I can assure you it's a lot more than just 5k.I have no idea what your picture said.
But one point is Spanish speaking countries isn’t exactly known to paying subscription based games.
Not to mention how much manpower, time and money this would take. I’d rather them focus on giving us better content than a localisation for only 5k potential players.
If SE wanted to they would already offered it a decade ago.
Playing this game as a normal person that understands everything that it's said on the game without using the 100% of my brain would be nice
It shows that our community is as big as French and German communities, basically. And we're missing people from USA aswell, wich proves that we're more than it seemsI have no idea what your picture said.

Please, we don't want toxicity on this post. We're here looking for support, not controversy. Remember that we pay our sub like everyone else and we have the same right to ask for a translation![]()

Question for Spanish speakers: if they made a sub would you like them to work back through the story so DT>ARR or through the story ARR>DT?
just curious tbh.
Just to play devils advocate here, whilst there are a lot of Spanish speakers it's also known that a lot of those people struggle to pay the sub fee due to how expensive it is in their countries. If you compare their lower income vs the higher income of French and German speakers we might have a reason for lack of translation. Even if they can get to pay the sub, a lot of Spanish speakers won't have disposable income for all the extra things like the French and German communities do. So there is no guarantee that it would be a financial boon spending money on localisation for a demographic that has a lower spending power than others.Oh, but it is!
If we compare the numbers on the languages that have already a traduction, therefore, are reaching their max audition such as French and German:
And we compare it on the numbers of members and active members of the Spanish Community (wich doesn't include so many Latin and we don't have an official translation, therefore we're not "maxed out"):
We can see that, in fact, IT IS feasible from a finance PoV
Not opposed to adding the translation and I don't think that if they did it would do harm to other development efforts in any major way. But I do see why it hasn't happened yet.
Also you can look for support, that's fine. People are allowed to disagree with you though and say they rather resources be spent elsewhere. They pay the sub too, as you said.It shows that our community is as big as French and German communities, basically.
