Many gaming companies struggle at the moment. They had too high expectations because Covid-19 boosted the game consumption. And they expected, that this will stay. But it did not.

for 14 yes, who knows what the rest of their teams are doing. the loss is from no longer developing other titles, little to do with 14 overall.

Yes, citizen, those stupid metal rings talking with the main character. I'd say it hardly qualifies as banter and it's much more comparable to two characters who actually despise each other.

To me it was like the writers tried to recreate the relationship of Frey and Cuff in the image of Tony Stark and Jarvis, or the guardian and the ghost from Destiny 2. Except in Forspoken's case, the relationship was rough because both parties were unwilling to be partnered together. So then we get the banter and the witty remarks dialed up to 10, and frankly it gets tiresome and annoying after a while. The game had some serious potential but it was an unfinished product. In addition to my liking the combat system like I mentioned earlier, the parkour system was really fun too.

I'm just waiting for the FFXIV Battle Pass, citizen. I'm calling it now. We will eventually have one.

The game had some serious potential but it was an unfinished product.

We can consider Forspoken to be Square's version of No Man's Sky.

On the brightside, citizen, imagine how much of the Lalafell Menace can be contained with those sort of pay to win game mechanics.

hah they haven't bothered with that stuff properly since ARR only few pieces in HW-EW have them & funny thing is none of the tail outfit changes apply to Aura tails on any of that ARR gear like Miqo have actual pieces removed from tail region whilst Aura just clip through.
