They could make it a reward for final quest of 6.55 and retroactively send it out to all characters, similarly to how Ultima Weapon rewards a Fantasia. That'd actually do wonders for long term Fantasia sales, as having one just encouraged people to hoard it and never yet it, but having two free ones gives room to experiment, and once you start, there is no stopping.

Best way to give it out before launch would to just throw in a quick side-quest that has a NPC say "I think you dropped this"

They retroactively added the ARR one because it used to be a veteran reward. That's why I get 2 of them on new characters.

They could but I think the way they have of achieving this is via the moogle mail for all existing characters only. That would be the most likely way I'd expect it to happen.

The "FREE" fantasia will be delivered once you buy the expansion on each account.

If you think all your alts are going to get a nice and fresh FREE Fantasia then you haven't play FFXIV that much.

That would only work out for the people who are already in DT. The point of the fantasia is not to reward DT users but to resolve any unwanted side effects of the graphical update for all existing characters. It needs to be delivered via a method that does not care about story progress.

Shoot that flew over my. Was hoping the new graphics were going to be a toggle in options but it probably won't be, not that I would have that option anyway on PS5.

Really good idea and adding to this, there could be a system message upon logging in that lets players know the quest is available. Only thing I would change is maybe make the quest available in your starting city state if people are not too far into ARR and can't get to mor dhona yet.

I hope he realizes that people get emotional about his game because we love it haha. That said, a lot of people make it their entire personality to hate on the game they can't stop playing.
